Dubai is the junior emirate compared to Abu Dhabi (AD). When the 2008 financial crises hit they went to AD for a bail out as they have the oil wealth v Dubais property/tourism/services economy. They renamed the Burj Dubai to Burj Khalifa in honour of AD’ s emir before it opened as part of the bail out thank you. I doubt they’d buy Liverpool to challenge AD’s Man City.

Happy for him, good goal.

Some wayward passes today, not his usual high standard.

Nothing like stuffing these twats. Fuck them. I was stupid enough to click on the link to that Villa forum above. We’re sore for holding on to the ‘sob on the Tyne’ banner 10 years later but they’ve got a thread called ‘Let’s laugh at Newcastle (again).

No way would I want him here loan or otherwise, he missed the boat and we’ve moved on to better (Isak).

Don’t know why the club don’t just post it without the ability to comment? If you want to bitch about it do it elsewhere and not on the clubs timeline.

I sponsor you. You sponsor me?

Good appointment, hope he does shit.

What they don’t understand is with Saudi Arabia’ climate they’re well placed to use massive solar arrays to produce green hydrogen and export it to counties that don’t have the climate or the money to create the necessary infrastructure . Plus they’ve got PIF and it’s investments to fall back on when the oil runs out in 50 years or so.

Ginola was right footed but played on left?

Agree and an ideal opportunity with some good January signings to leapfrog them.

Sign a gazillion players during close season, get served shit.

Good hit by Trossard strikes post after nice one touch play by Brighton. A player we’re apparently keen on.

Portuguese super agent links so have to go that route. Don’t think they would be as attractive to players abroad not playing in Portugal.

Strange that he only signed now but was free since June (don’t know if he was injured or anything).

I thought his technique looked really good when he came on against Liverpool. The cross towards the end by Joelinton was drilled in at pace and he was able to kill the ball. Unfortunately he was crowded out and had to skip around defenders to try to get a shot off.

He’s a right back, young, seems highly rated and Trippiers not getting younger. Makes sense to me to sign who you can rather than dwell on other positions where a deal can’t be agreed.

A championship club with an upcoming prospect we could swap him for is our best bet.

The most frustrating thing isn’t the last minute winner for them but that we are so close to being a really good team with a couple more big signings which we probably won’t get.
