2 mins added time for Liverpool-Boro and Gerrad scored at 94'

Now better win it for Shay

Given Beye Tayls Colo Enrique Butt Guthrie Jonas Milner Duff Oba At home Zoggy could be played instead of Enrique but I still prefer the Spaniard as Zoggy can't defend at all!!! I leaning towards Sky's prediction...if we'll get an early lead it could end up a trashing like 3,4-0,1.

Not that sure anymore after seeing Deco's impressive debut for Chelski...kinda similar player to me

mauro zarate? Too expensive IMO

Somehow I have a feeling that we're going to offload Owen before end of the transfer window. And replace him with another quality stirker but at lower wages a la Zigic, Saviola etc... Also another left back. Atouba or one of these already linked players. Plus the "wow" signing is our long awaited creative midfielder. Riquelme maybe as he's yet another Argie but doesn't quite fit the new age policy so one of these bright young Argetinian talents would also fit the bill. I wouldn't mind Mathias Fernandez, Juan Arango or another their type of a player...

To put Zog as a defender against ManU is a suicidal
-
Sergio Ramos - Cannavaro - Puyol - Zambrotta Gerrard - Ballack - Van der Vaart - Schweinsteiger Torres - Drogba Just a few to mention...
-
Champions - Chelsea Champions League - Real Madrid FA Cup - Newcastle League Cup - Arsenal Top Scorer - Fernando Torres Suprise Package - Man City (in a bad way) Uefa Cup - Tottenham Top 4 - Chelski, ManU, Liverpool, Tottenham MVP(Player of the Season) - Michael Essien

What was Butt doing there? Covering the defence or just watching...do your job!!! Hertha can't get a touch at the ball but with this kind of defence :-[ :-[ :-[

Exactly my thought...I think Jonas will be absolute quality and signing of the season value for money wise

I totally disagree and I'm trying to be unbiased here. Tainio is a very hard working player but as with all defensive midfielders you can't see all the hard work they're doing for their teams. Tainio can play in multiple positions as he started his career as an attacking playmaker before he was transferred to Auxerre. After a few seasons their coach Guy Roux moved him to a more defending role and Tainio was played even at full back at Spurs last season(didn't like it one bit but still was better than their "real defenders"). If only Tainio could stay fit I guess he could be playing for one of the top teams in Europe but under the guidance of Keano he will only improve IMO. Personally I'm very very disappointed that he chose Mackems(over us for example as he's clearly better than Butt and Geremi). Could be one of the real bargains of the season IF he stays fit...

Why you had to mention it? Now it's not going to happen for sure...

Maybe so but that goes with Dyer as well and he was one of our best players anyway. And Aimar should be only half of Dyer's wages so I'm quite willing to take the risk is that's our only possibility for a decent playmaker who can open up opponents defences...

With the amount of losses Chelsea are making I don't think even Abramovits can take it too long(okay...maybe him but not all with some brain). I think we'll see many more Leeds' in the future if it remains like this...

2 players for each position is just enough(I'm not talking about Chelsea type 2 world class stars for each position)...plus our up and coming youngsters from the reserves and youth squad when needed. Spurs seems to have almost 4 players for each defensive line positions which is pure stupidy IMO. They can't keep them all happy but it's such a waste of wages as well as all these guys should get pretty good weekly wage. Given, Harper(Krul, Forster, Söderberg) Beye, -, () Taylor, Cacapa, () Faye, - , (Edgar, Kadar) Enrique, - , (Tozer) Jonas, Milner, (Lua Lua) Geremi, Butt, () Barton, Guthrie, () N'Zogbia, Duff, () Owen, Viduka, (Carroll, Zamblera) Martins, Smith, Shola, (Ngo Baheng) As the current squad above clearly shows we're lacking so much quality especially in defence and midfield(not to mention required depth). We've been asking for a quality playmaker like 2, 3 years now and still got nothing. Hopefully the Aimar deal will go through ASAP although it's not ooking good at all. First in the shortlist be a quality centreback and 2 quality central midfielders and I'd be happy for a while!

Ajax payed about £5 million for Zlatan when he played for Malmö and that was a massive amount of money for MFF. I doubt Per Ciljan Skjelbred cannot be really compared to Zlatan and any team who pays more than £2-3 million for a Scandinavian based player must be crazy! I'm not saying that we have no good players but the general market value is just so poor...(especially in Finland but we've got no decent players in the first place).
-
Class, no doubt about it but his days are pretty rare nowadays...so much off the pace in PL. Would do great in a team with class wingers with great crossing ability though.
-
Yet another midfielder. How many do they want? We should go for Teemu Tainio then ...would be a bargain at around 2million or even less. Versatile player with great attitude and work rate. Great squad player indeed!

From what I've seen yesterday(like 35-40mins...couldn't stay awake due to doing some overtime at my job) Emre had a great game for Turkey against Finland. Really creative moves and his passing was superb. Absolute key player for the Turks although Finnish defence is no match at its current shape! I'd be very disappointed to see him going...especially at such a low price! Definitely worth 5-8millions at the least! I'd rather see Viduka, Smith, Duff and Geremi leaving even for free to ease the wage budget(or Owen for 12 millions)

Did Keegan change to 4-4-2 with Barton and Geremi on the wings and Owen & Martins up front? It kinda looked like it...Maybe replacing Viduka with Smith was a good idea in the first place but going to 4-4-2 and playing Smith in the central midfield was a huuuge mistake after such an encouraging first half! So maybe KK need to take some of the blame I guess Taylor was great but our midfield kept giving the ball away constantly(especially after the break) which sort of reminded the Fat Sam's/early Keegan days. Deserved win for Chelski though and I guess we should start with some of the younger players(Lua-Lua, Edgar, Carroll etc.) against Everton

Only possible sub I think

From 1st half's performance I'd say that we should really be fighting for TOP4 places(or is it just Chelsea being really bad?) Some very good passing under pressure and Martins awesome at running in space and holding the ball(usually too long though). Sometimes it looks like Enrique's reight footed actually as he keep cutting inside and looking for a pass instead of a cross with his (preferred left foot). Solid performance from the whole team so far. Defensively great but somehow I'm not that satisfied with Viduka's effort! He's done decent job but Owen and Martins make him look so bad...

4 in 4 out leaves our squad thin on numbers, we need more in than out and we don't want so many players moving that we're having to get them all playing as a team again. Viduka's hardly been instrumental...very poor value for money IMO. Looks lazy and when the tempo goes up can't keep up the pace one bit. I think we'll need one big forward but I think that even Andy Carroll offers more now
