  1. Euros or Pounds ? Probably euros as it's from the guy who's heard about the "done deal" on the radio.
  2. The quotes from his agent that says "Depor are preventing him from signing the deal of his life" suggests that we've offered him an incredible amount of money. Would be good investment though..
  3. They have one CB that will play more than 25 games this season and that's Michael Dawson. Woodgate and King aren't reliable enough with their fitness record. I thought Spurs were going after Jarque or whatever his name is?
  4. Would be such a pity if he signed for Tottenham, assuming he's really going. God knows we need to sign a high profile player more than anything right now, we need to signal that intent to other players that we're tracking.
  5. Does anyone know if its £23m or £16m? Says 16 on a couple of sites, which I think would be a very good price. 23 though is madness.
  6. Would like to know where N'Zogbia really stands. He said to skysports.com in the beginning of the summer that he wanted to stay at Newcastle and that he was satisfied with his situation, and then about a month later he wanted to join Arsenal or Spurs. N'Zogbia could probably rediscover his form from 05/06 under a more attacking minded manager like Keegan, and I think we saw signs of that in the last few appearances last season. Would be good for the team to have him and Duff pushing eachother for that LM/LW position..
  7. Yes someone named Barnett(?) against Juventus, think he was meant for the academy. Didn't sign.
  8. What's Keegan saying in the "Transfer latest" on .cock?

    Oba And Out

His english is shocking, I struggled to understand some parts of that interview. Isn't English the main language in Nigeria?
  10. http://www.aftonbladet.se/webbtv/sport/article2909145.ab Shearer on the matter and Blatters idiocy.
  11. Martin Zeman (Czech Rep.) and their striker Tomas Necid were both good vs England yesterday. Zeman in particual had a very good game, Necid scored both of their goals.
  12. your never going to convinve me that he can help us break into the top ten. Was OKAY at Brum last year, and couldn't break into a fairly shocking Sweden squad at the euros. We'll see though Was only down to Lagerbäck who opted for his older players all over the pitch. Should have started ahead of Alexandersson and Elmander. Larsson would be a good signing, was more than "okay" at Birmingham last season.. but don't know if we need him? Beye at RB and Gutierrez/Milner/Geremi at RM...
  13. If Chelsea sign Arshavin they will surely look to sell SWP, wouldn't they? Not that we need a right winger now, but he'd make a good signing. Would be really aware of Pompey next season if they were to lay hands on him and Crouch now.
  14. Has signed for undisclosed fee http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_3747201,00.html Should be a good signing for them. After all, he got Toulouse into the Champions League the other year, and was troubled by injuries this season. His Euro performance is of no interest since he played on the wing for some reason. He has also shown his ability on a higher level when he scored against Spain and had a terrific all round performance against them last fall. Good signing for Bolton!
  15. Johan Elmander will sign for Bolton today according to Swedish media. £8m they say....so he's probably Phil Gartsides "unnamed striker".
  16. Zhirkov Radek Sirl Mehmet Topal
  17. Wonderful football from Turkey, and Fatih Terim seems to be a very inspiring manager who deserved the win far more than that nervous misfit Joachim Löw. Germany has played well in two games all competition, against Poland and Portugal. Whoever they play in the final, they won't deserve to win it more than Turkey would have. Very impressed with Sabri (the right back), Semih Sentürk (excellent finish for the 2-2 goal) and Altintop today.
  18. Was absolutley terrible in Sweden. Went from AIK in the top flight, to Västerås in the second division, to whom he brought former Newcastle youngsters Darryl Smylie and Ben Webster(?): Smylie still plays there and scored last weekend. Seems to be doing better in England, thankfully. Sounds like a wise appointment considering what he did at Coventry.

    Lookalikes

  20. Embaressed. End of an era. We need a new generation of players to take over from Ljungberg, Larsson, Mellberg etc., but they aren't out there. Also, the difference between Petter Hansson and Zlatan Ibrahimovic means we'll have to score 3-4 goals to win games at this level. And the madness to play Daniel Andersson ahead of Kim Källström has to stop. Full credit to Russia, played a very good game and took advantage of the fact that we allowed them to do so, with our back four sitting so deep for 90 minutes. Zhirkov, Semsov and Arshavin were terrific.
  21. I think Gomez shows glimpses of what he's capable of(those that have seen him in Stuttgart knows what he can do against good oppostition), and he offers more to the team than someone Gomis seems to do even if he doesn't score. None of them has had any luck so far in this tournament, but Gomez has been successful on international level before this tournament. Look at Henry etc. in the 2002 WC. France didn't score at all, he turned out OK in the next few seasons.
  22. Don't underestimate Russia, Russia are a much different outfit with Arshavin in it. According to reports Hiddink is considering to place him on the bench due to his lack of matches played recently.
  23. Can't believe we conceded that goal in the 92nd minute yesterday, it NEVER seems to happen to Sweden. Petter Hansson brought down to earth again. Still a good performance With Ibra we'll see off Russia(how shit was Rosenberg the other day?), who actually hasn't impressed me one bit so far. The worst of Hiddinks international projects so far by the looks of it. Greece should have had their late equalizer given yesterday.
