  1. Swedens win against Romania in the 1994 WC. Went down in extra-time, got Stefan Schwarz sent off, but still equalised through Kennet Andersson. The day I fell in love with this sport. Otherwise: Bellamy vs. Feyenoord, Robert vs. Arsenal(3-1), Solano vs. Leeds(4-3).

    Graeme Souness

Wonder what it would sound like if we were to "have a go" at him in a similar interview.
  3. Haha, no it's spelled in Swedish, but there is no word for Shearer in Swedish. Skärare means "cutter" or "slicer", just sounds like Shearer in our language. Now you know
  4. No keeper looks good behind this shitty defence of ours. Just look at someone like Petr Cech when Chelseas back four was suffering without Terry and Carvalho and so on. He looked a lot worse than Given at times. Given should be our first choice keeper, he's going in to what should be his prime now that he is on the "wrong" side of 30 and should be able to use his experience.
  5. Lindgren is still to prove himself at Ajax, not even close to our national team and he's only had a few good games for Ajax. Don't think he's good enough. Lucho Gonzalez though is fantastic. So is Rafinha of Schalke, but he's probably heading for something better, as is Gonzalez.
  6. Impressed with Sweden last night. Some of our play was excellent and a lot of players fought their way in to the squad for the Euro2008, Seb Larsson among others. Lost to a horrrible mistake by old Arsenalkeeper Rami Shaaban.
  7. Would have been easier to sign him if Solano hadn't left. Why did Guerrero leave Bayern in the first place btw? I think he wanted to play first team football, and he was getting sick of being left out because of Makaay and Pizzaro. He's been benefiting from the move a lot. Developing nicely for HSV. Well if he asks Nobby about us I don't think he will hear too bad things. But of course a deal would have been easier with Solano here. Anyway, he's the kind of striker we need sooner or later. Scores every kind of goals, physical, pacy enough and hungry to prove himself at a higher level.
  8. José Paolo Guerrero, if we are to sign any strikers. He's been awesome for HSV when I've seen him.
  9. Would be strange not to play him now that he's the only recognised goalscoring striker in the squad. Him and Defoe have been the only ones to score goals lately, Rooney isn't doing it, especially not for England. I think England should go: James - Brown, Ferdinand, Terry, Cole - Gerrard, Haregreaves, Lampard - Rooney, Cole - Owen Btw. our proud Swedish team will get absolutley thrashed by Brazil tonight. Ibrahimovic is out and our fullbacks will be the worst ever fielded.
  10. Could be another 4-4. If we create chances like we've been doing as of late, Robinson will cause 3-4 goals at the back for them. N'Zogbia should definately start this one, we need someone else than Owen to link our midfield to the strikers. Martins will be well up for it, and we have nothing to lose. Should be a very, very entertaining game for the mutual.
  11. I just want us to sign players that are hungry and want to achieve something. Players that want to prove themselves in the Premiership, as long as they're not called Rozehnal. Like someoen pointed out, Elano and Berbatov were both eager to prove themselves on this stage, and that's the kind of players we should be looking at.
  12. Beye-Faye-Taylor-Enrique have got a couple of games together now under Keegan, something that never happend under Allardyce, due to injuries, but also due to his lack of patience with the central pair and his decision to always play N'Zogbia at left-back. Not that these guys were tested today, but they have looked far more comfortable and solid against Birmingham and Fulham than any of the defensive lines that Allardyce tried during his reign. This is not me saying we don't need new defenders in the summer, but I think Keegan deserves credit for sticking to them despite the game at Liverpool and we conceded loads against Man Utd. Would have been easy for him to drop Taylor for Cacapa, or move N'Zogbia back into Enriques position.
  13. Didn't think the new directors will change the clubs transferpolicy from "buy Chelsea rejects" to "buy Tottenham rejects", but if we go after Chimbonda and Dawson - we're there. Dawson wouldn't improve our back four one bit.
  14. Why is it that Ronaldo scores 2 or 3 goals per game against average/poor/medium opposition but is pretty much invinsible against the good sides in this league? Torres for example managed to score a very good goal against Chelsea when they played at Anfield. Never seen Ronaldo produce the goods against Chelsea, Arsenal or Pool.
  15. McFadden looks Kaka against our midfield. Geremi is to most harmless player I've ever seen. And get Carroll on second half.
  16. That's the second time someone has payed around £4m for Andy Reid. Unbelieveable. Btw, Rade Prica, the guy from Aalborg, is the 6th chioce striker in Sweden, behind Ibrahimovic, Elmander, Allbäck, Marcus Berg and Marcus Rosenberg. Not very good.
  17. Was anyone here in Rotterdam to see the 3-2? Was that better than the Inter-game or did the Feyenoord fans cause too much trouble..?
  18. £5m, or maybe even £4.5m. Dawson was £5m for Spurs, right? How much did Jay Bothroyd cost when he went to Italy?
  19. Darius Henderson is the most impotent striker I've ever seen, at least when he was in the Premiership last year. Surely someone like Billy Sharp is better?
  20. I seriously think this club is going to shorten my lifetime due to the heartbeat everytime we play, and I live in Sweden. That's how much it means, and so far it's been well worth it. Bellamys 3-2, Solanos 4-3 and Roberts 3-1 during the 01/02 and 02/03 are three of the happiest moments of my life. No doubt.
  21. Didn't Smith play RM under Sam? And Ameobi under Souness? Loads of options then... Would like to see: Harper - Enrique, Taylor, Cacapa, Beye - N'Zogbia, Barton, Faye, Duff - Owen, Martins
