Looks promising on FM
-
3-1 and Sam stays on. If we lose and sack him, I'll puke all over the new board. Would be the worst sacking ever, worse than when Bobby was sacked.
-
England should go for Lars Lagerbäck, fifth finals in a row that he's qualified Sweden for, and we should go through this time again.
-
The loss yesterday can be explained with the names of those four men that supposedly formed a back four: Carr-Beye-Roz-N'Zogbia, pretty different to Beye-Taylor-Faye-Enrique. If he's sacked I will be very disappointed with the board.

I think they sort of chased the game through and out, we were better in the first half, and apart from those infamous minutes after Martins' goal we controlled the play all over while they counterattacked, luckily for them it turned out successfull, but they know they didn't deserve this. Looked a lot like our game there last season, but the opposite.

No, no, no, no. Jonas Olsson isn't even starting material in the Swedish internationals. He's very slow and I don't think he's near good enough for the Premiership. Olof Mellberg is by far the best swedish defender there is, which indicates on Olssons ability. But I haven't seen him in a while and maybe the reason he's not in the internationals is because Lars Lagerbäck is very keen to keep the same players in the squad and go for players that know eachother. But then again, central defenders isn't what we're lacking.

Gudjohnsen, Arshavin and Skjelbred - ould all be class signings. Skjelbred is a toon supporter according to FM

Well, they need a realitycheck anyway. I think Davies is a better manager than Bruce - let them start there.
-
Davies would be the man for Birmingham, next David Moyes.

Would be wise to do the spending in January, that'll give the new players a chance to settle in before they have to deliver the goods. I can just imagine if we sign a couple of really expensive players in the summer and they all fail to perform under huge pressure from fans and media. Would be typical of the club.

N'Zogbia, Taylor and Milner can all be very good. Taylor has no obvious weekness that he can't cut out of his game, N'Zogbias performances seems to be depending on his level of confindence - he needs to cut that out of his game. Milner needs to play to his strengths more often, not running to much at defenders and try to beat them for pace, he'll never be that kind of winger. Shooting, crossing and tracking back - he's going to be a top class winger if he keeps improving in those areas. Very versatile to. Haven't seen enough of Krul, Forster, Lua-Lua or Carroll, but by they sound like they might turn out to be potential first team players. Anyone seen Ryan Donaldson? Is he better than Carroll was at that age?

Three players to transform the team.....
AlanSkÃrare replied to Colos Short and Curlies's topic in Football
Anelka, Källström and Rosina or Barnes. -
Brian Kerr had a very good game at home to Liverpool once. Other than that I consider him rubbish. Richard Offiong - did he ever feature for the first team? Can't believe we stuck to Steve Caldwell but not Gary. Gary is playing some very good stuff for Celtic and Scotland I hear.
-
Used to play in Sweden for Malmö FF. Sure, he can hack it in the dutch league, but he is not a player I'd like to see at Newcastle. He has a good shot and good technique, but no strenght or pace to get excited over. More suited for Spain than England. Let City have him and prove me wrong.

Milner at £5m looks good. Lua-Lua - was it £2m?

Anyone seen the goal?

I'd loose all my faith in the new board if we sack Allardyce in his first season here. Give the man some time to implement his ideas, regardless if we finish in the top 6 or not.
