Would like to see: Given - Faye, Taylor, Cacapa, Enrique - Milner, Barton, Emre, N'Zogbia - Smith, Martins Bench: Harper, Rozehnal, Beye, Butt, Owen. Probably won't happen, and the centre midfield might be too attacking. I think we missed Taylors determination when we conceded against Reading. Want him back!
-
Some of it. A couple of hasty decisions when he could have kept things simple. But overall - he's the best leftback I've seen at Newcastle.
-
Faye looks a beast and Cacapa is a rare talent. Taylor is very good backup along with Roz, but will be looking for first-team football soon. Enrique can certainly improve his passing. Beye had a fantastic tackle on Keane(?) in the first half, but makes some rash decisions going forward. Maybe he just needs a bit of time to settle in before we see him at his best. Huge improvement on Carr though.

Berbatov is the perfect replacement for Viduka in two years. When is his contract with Spuds up?
-
Youth? He didn't impress at City 2 years ago. We have enough cover on the left wing anyway.

Scored a goal by backheeling and nutmegging the keeper this sunday. Like the goal Kluivert scored against Crystal Palace in 2004/05, only better! Won the game, and the win gave us the title!(Swedish season ends now).
-
Looked pretty pacy today I think, even got the better of Onouha. Should be nice to see him settle in and N'Zogbia moving up to midfield. Btw Swedish television praised N'Zogbia for five minutes during todays broadcast, he really is building some reputation now.

Two nights in a row last week, I had a dream that we were in the last ten minutes, playing good opposition and still at 0-0. In the first dream Gerrard scored for Liverpool in the end and in the second Podolski scored in the dying moments of the game. Probably post-Arsenal wounds to my brain.

Tottenham still not scoring? Need their win for my betting...
-
Beye needs to be on top of his game, Petrov looked class against Fulham. Surely Martins and Viduka will trouble Dunne and Richards physically, could well get away with a 1-0 win. Their strikers are average imo.

How can you play like a player who never plays?
-
Spain only getting a draw against Iceland sums up their qualifying campaign. Lost to us(Sweden) and NI. Not even worthy of qualifying after that. Aragones must be their worst ever manager.

Prutton was a big, big talent at Southampton, wasn't he? Has a lot of U21-caps to his name I think. Who's playing CD for Leeds when Huntington is on the bench?

Steven Taylor rejects new contract; Liverpool preparing £5m bid?

Important player, homegrown talent is a rarity in our squad now, make sure we keep him unless he wants insane wages, which I doubt he wants. Pretty confident that he'll stay. -
So far we've looked like one of the best teams in the league defensivley. The right players are in place to score those goals that Benjani, Yakubu, Carew and Bianchi won't score. We just need some creativity, and then it's down to us vs Tottenham if you look at quality. Blackburn, Villa, City, Pompey and Everton will push on but it's only Tottenham and us who has that edge. BTW: When was the last time we had 8 points after 4 games?

Carson - Bale, Rozehnal, Lescott, Richards - Malouda, Fabregas, A. Young - Santa Cruz, Torres, Anelka Santa Cruz is, if he can stay fit, the buy of the season. What a player. Anelka though has been the most impressive player overall so far. One of the best strikers in Europe when at his best, which he has been for a couple of games now. Another player who has, for some reason, impressed me, is Clint Dempsey. Has got a few goals for Fulham, seems like he has stepped his game up since last season. On the end of a lot of crosses and so on.
-
Blackburn are in many ways as clever as Everton in terms of teambuilding. I think they'll both do better than the big investors, Man C and West Ham etc. Very intresting manager Hughes, the signing of Santa Cruz is a bargain, just like McCarthy was last summer. Could probably have good run in the Uefacup too...
-
Just behind the strikers or as a striker, but definately not at right wing or defensive midfielder. But as someone said, can't really complain too much since he's been playing out of position in every game so far and he hasn't been that bad (exceot yesterday, but his positioning was humiliating to him).
-
Waiting to see how he does against better opposition, but he looks very comfortable. Not quick at all though, hopefully he'll be playing alongside someone quicker, like Faye or Taylor.

Worst signing (all clubs) of the summer

Robert Earnshaw at £4.5m. The man has never been onside. -
Derby (a) 01/02 3-2 Leeds (a) 01/02 4-3 Everton (h) 01/02 6-2 Feyenoord of course. Otherwise it's definatley Sweden-Romania (WC 94) and Argentina-Romania (WC94). Incredible games..

Don't want to depend to much on one single player either..We don't need one as long as the squad is getting results on board.
