I don't buy the argument of 'what fan wouldn't do what he did'. It's one thing taking the job in blind excitement but to stick it out and be complicit in the club you supposedly love being systematically destroyed for seven years? Nah. Even if he walked away after a year of it, he'd have earned multiples of what he previously would've, and now has 'CEO of an entire fucking football club' to put on his CV, deserved or not. He'd have the time and the CV to now land something above whatever role he had before becoming Ashley's bitch. I can't muster the vitriol I have reserved for the likes of Ashley and Bruce, but I've not an ounce of respect or understanding for him or his position if he considers himself a fan.
  2. Let's not forget that Rafa got enough out of him to become a fringe contender for England's World Cup squad. Whatever Howe needs to do to see us through this season, I'm on board with.
  3. How many of their own tweets did they need to embed in to that article?
  4. Imagine having the gall to even come out and comment on the situation when you've so clearly been shown up in the space of a couple of weeks without a game even being played yet. I wish I had such little shame. Maybe I'd be able to get in to jobs I'm wildly unqualified for via the back door, too.
  5. I stand corrected. I also searched the forum after I posted and found comments from Greg that it could be wound up after a takeover so I got it completely wrong!
  6. Completely forgot about Adam Campbell. He been any good in the lower leagues?
  7. Am I misremembering or did they not say a few times at the start that the ultimate aim of the Pledge wouldn't change if/when the club got taken over? If so I imagine that'll be their argument; that nothing has really changed in regards to the aim of the pledge. Not saying that's right or wrong either way, especially as I'm no longer even a member of NUST to know when the last actual update on the Pledge was.
  8. I can't shake the feeling that he's just a better Dwight Gayle. It just seems if you're going to have him as a starting focal point of your attack in the PL it's emblematic of a team that's going to face relegation. More than happy if Fulham bounce back up and he proves me wrong next season, as I love the bloke and would love to see him stick around to truly prove himself in the PL.
  9. Of course. Of all the teams to forget.
  10. Can fans of any other club lay claim to having four or more of these bastards inflicted upon their club? Can't think off the top of my head.
  11. How fucked is the Serie A structure that they decided these past 18 months were a better idea?

    Transfer rumours

What's all this Dean Henderson talk? For someone that's not been paying much attention to football in general the past couple of years, is he worth all this talk when compared to Dubs? Just seems a strange position for us to be eyeing replacements right now.
  13. Glad I'm not the only one who instantly thought this. I'm in.

    Transfer rumours

Out of contract end of next year and already said he wouldn't mind going abroad when that contract is up so I think they'll just be happy to get anything back on him at this point. Said it before but I think we should make him a priority in January, however slim a chance we may have, and then again in the summer if/when we survive.

    Alan Shearer

Not to dwell on the negatives as I do still love Shearer, but to me it's a bit different to you or I just randomly sticking up for our mates when he's being paid for his 'professional' opinion on his mate. I just find it strange considering how cut-throat football can be when getting to the top that once there they become so thin-skinned that their mates have to pull punches in a professional capacity to avoid hurting their feelings. Couldn't imagine actively choosing to have mates I have to constantly tip toe around like that.
  16. May sound silly but I found the stumbling over some of her words and pauses to gather her thoughts in that interview extremely reassuring. No doubt she had an idea what they were going to discuss but it tells me she didn't practice a bunch of empty platitudes and everything she's saying is genuine. Either that or I've been played like a fiddle.
  17. It really is at the end of every one of his tweets. Like a Twitter catchphrase. I don't know him but I hate him.
  18. High risk/high reward kind of appointment. If he's the real deal they could really push on with the right backing, if not it could quickly end in tears. Will be watching with great interest.
  19. All these bleep test flashbacks in here makes me quite thankful. I know they did it at my school but I was always ushered in to the group that didn't do it. Some positives to being a fat little lump of shit, I guess.
  20. Don't worry there should be enough staff soon to make such a page worthwhile.
  21. Even worse, a lot of them have managed it for the past four years. I've said it before and I'll say it again; like Rafa had his teams playing more than the sum of their parts, Bruce had them playing less than. It won't be overnight, but if Howe can even just meet them somewhere in the middle, we'll be fine.

    Graeme Jones

    Down with this sickening abuse.

    Joelinton

I think there's a salvageable player there. Not a £40m player, but everyone was already sceptical of that price tag anyway. Am I right in remembering a few rumours that Rafa had looked at him and wouldn't have been that against getting him in were it not for the price tag wasting most of that summer's budget? He's got the physical tools to be useful if a good manager can make use of those tools.
  24. I'd have OGS bottom even if Bruce was still in a job tbh.
