I was sat watching the Euros the other day and thought whether the NEWCASTLE UNITED will be allowed to stay uncovered on the east stand? Obviously all the SD crap needs to be covered up but technically its still a brand name and needs to be removed/covered. Same goes for the club crest above the tunnel, inside the tunnel and seats.

Shocking news for football. As Stifler said, its sticking two fingers up at home grown generation of fans whilst taking a risky gamble to generate new fans that will only stick around for a few years. Realistically for smaller clubs, how much revenue can these 'fans' generate? We could well be the first to play them in their red home kit unless they announce further friendlies.

The lass who scored Chelsea's second (to put them 2-1 up in ET) celebrated her goal by pulling her top up her face and over her head ...... well she almost did, she stopped just as everyone was about to get an eye full. Its a bit strange that the keeper top has a collar and the outfield strips don't. If anything, I would have thought it would have been the other. Loving the outfield strip!

How many times have we had 'ponytail/pigtails' as the lines person and failed to get anything? I'm fairly certain we can add both the Fulham and Spurs away games to todays result, with all 14 goals being conceded in her half. I have a feeling Norwich away was her too. I'm not saying she gets the decisions wrong but she must go down as a jinx or something.

I said at half time I didn't mind what happened as long as we made it to full time without any injuries or red cards. I would have loved a goal for Ba too but at least the first bit happened.

He did deny a DOGSO, he stopped Adebayor from scoring, the ball rolling to Bale was advantage being played. The issue is whether Cech should get a yellow or red card for the intial foul, for me as a goal was scored from the advantage, it should be Yellow. The law is denying a team the opportunity, not the player though. Would have been interesting if Bale had accidentally missed it! It brings in the argument as to whether a straight red should be given straight away when a penalty is. There have been rumours for a while about a possible change so that when a penalty is given and it is a sending off offence, the outcome of the penalty decides whether a yellow or red card (downgraded to a yellow if it is scored) is given. If this was the case, it would have been a yellow for Cech and 2-1. Apart from being wrote down somewhere, personally I don't see how Cech's challenge today wasn't given at least a yellow card. If that challenge was made outside the area and advantage was given, it would have been at least a yellow when the ball went out of play. How come outfield players get carded but the keepers can't? Say Adebayor stayed down injured, would it have changed the decision? On a different note, Ashley Young. Now I'm not his biggest fan but I could say the same about numerous other players and my point would still be valid. In the case of a bad challenge and the player making the most of it, much like Young's ability to win a penalty both last week and today, why can't the referee take whatever action is needed for the bad challenge then book the receiving player for diving, or simulation as they want us to use? In my eyes, this is like the referee saying 'Yes it is a foul but are trying to cheat me. Have the freekick but don't be a dick'. There is clever play to win freekicks, Jonas is brilliant for this, but obvious conning of the referee should be penalised, even if/when a foul has been made. Young, amongst others, is a player who does this time after time and it really gets on my tits.

That freekick in the first half and the inability to give anything, bar the linesman flag within 10yds of the half way line, were errors for a start. Combined with two clear yellows in the build up to HBA's goal and his performance was weak. Clearly a ref wanting to allow the game to flow and make a decisive name for himself but weak to make a decision. His learning curve from the C'ship was obvious. And its about time we stopped showing minutes on the board for nowt. In the first half today we stopped for 30s for fat arse to tie his shoe lace and a fake 'injury' before our corner. We could have easily have played on both times so no need to stop the watch. The FA are obsessed about extra minutes

With a wide packed midfield and a team coming to most likely park the bus, I can see this game being more difficult than Liverpool. We'll need to either change our tactics or, like today, allow them to play football in order to allow us to play the game we've played recently - ie breaking with pace between their chasing midfields and isolated defenders. Then again, we could mount wave after wave of pressure and crumble them that way, much like what we did with Sunderland in the second half. Personally I'd use our position to gamble and go for broke. We've created breathing space below us and this has brought us some freedom. It could be one of those days, I just havn't decided if it will be frustrating or brilliant

Didn't see the game but I have seen the post match analysis and its true Sky have gone overboard on him. True he hasn't scored since Cisse started but from what I remember, he should have scored the pen against Sunderland and two goals against West Brom only last week - he was a stud length away from sending it home for the first and he was brought down just as he was pulling the trigger on the third. Theres been other chances too (I seem to remember him hitting the woodwork). Its not like he isn't getting in the mixer. His positioning and willingness to make up ground is still there and the 17th verse to his song will come! Hopefully a big sigh of relief will come on Monday

Name and shame them! For probably the third season now, we've stuck two fingers up at these so called experts. I know there is potental for us to slip up in the remaining 8 games but I doubt anyone (inlcuding ourselves) could see the success this season has been.

I couldn't believe they even tried to claim that. I wasn't there on Sunday but I was down there for the away game and they appeal for everything......HAAAANDBALLLLLL must have been heard 4/5 times before we started taking the piss. Random shouts of handball on the various trains all the long way back from Newcastle was hiliarious, or at least it was compared to the result.

pretty sure i've heard that get a couple of outings earlier in the season Scunthorpe away. Funnily enough the game straight after the mackems away, Raylor scored a free kick but it may have gone round rather than over. Definately been aired a few times since too
