This. This. Who really cares tbh. There has got to be a couple of gay footballers in the Premier League, just sad that they have to hide their sexuality because of sad little boys who will make an issue of it! Its highly likely that God will be smiting you for calling him a sad little boy! WTF? In liviticus in the Old Testament it says that homosexuality is wrong it puts it up there with shaving your beard a particular fashion and eating pig. Pretty sure drinking is in there too. Not wanting to go off on a religious tangent, but Leviticus governs the behaviour of the priesthood, not the lay people. So unless Xisco is secretly a rabbi he's not got much to worry about.

I think that Everton have learned that verbal agreements aren't worth the paper they're written on.

Plenty said the same about Milner.

http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/sunderland-afc/2010/07/11/sunderland-can-be-north-east-s-top-dogs-bruce-79310-26827335/ Proof, if more proof were needed, that finishing above us is all they care about. They compare any success or failure to what we do. As long as they're stuck in that mindset they'll never achieve anything.

Al Fayed will not be pumping the funds from the sale of Harrods into Fulham, in fact he has said he will be looking to sell Fulham in the next few years. Think he'll be selling up...At a tidy profit? I have no idea how much he has invested tbh. From Mohamed Al Fayed must tackle Fulham debt or face Euro ban

If we do have cash to spend then there's no point in wasting it on shite like JLS, we'd be just as well off with having nothing to spend.

Is it wrong that I want Honduras to win just to fuck ITV off?

My neighbour two doors down has bought one, sounds like a fog horn, I keep expecting to see a tug boat coming down the street.

Although I agree that many of the players have looked like they couldn't give a s***, if we had played 4-5-1 in both games, I think we would have 6 points. Rubbish man - it's exactly the same players! They don't give a f*** - therein lies the problem. Nonsense that they don't give a f***, tbh. Rooney clearly cares: there's some other problem here. Does he? He's clearly hiding it well. I don't question the passion: they simply seem scared to me. Did they also not give a shit during qualifying or is it simply now they've got to the finals they don't give a toss? While I agree it's not about the system, I'd change it simply to make the players more confident and sure of their roles. Reminds me of us in the last few games under Allardyce. Players more concerned about not being the one who fucks up and considering Capello's reaction to Rob Green's mistake it's a valid concern. The players just don't have the confidence to push further up the pitch, take a risk, try something different and unexpected. They'll play it safe and hope to grab a goal from a set piece. England's best hope for the Slovenia game might be to go a couple of goals down in the first half, let them play with enough freedom knowing that there's nothing to lose.
-
Complete and utter garbage. Capello must be glad he signed a new contract before the world cup because if England go out to Slovenia next week he's getting the sack.

That's them fucked then. If they start next season without a CVA in place they'll get a 15 point deduction & their 9 point deduction for going into administration might carry over too. They'll have little more than their youth team and they'll potentially start the season on -24 points, if they don't go straight down to League One I'll be stunned.

He lost a 20+ goal a season striker the same(?) day he sold Ferdinand causing Tomasson who had a bright start in pre season to completely change his game on the eve of a season to fill in for him. Some may say luck was a factor Yeh, losing a 20+ goal a season striker is unlucky. Selling one wasn't. Selling a player that then went on to win the PFA player of the year isn't unlucky. Bringing in Rush, Barnes, and Pearce isnt unlucky. The only position he improved was goalkeeper. That's half the story too. We didn't turn from into an attacking team, into a defensive team. We turned from an attacking team into one that couldn't attack or defend. We still dont know if it was his choice to sell Ferdinand or whether his injury nightmare wouldnt have happened if he stayed. Ginola wanted out 12 months earlier, we played better when KD didnt pick him the second half of the season, Ginola was barely interested what choice did he have ffs? Ever considered that if Shearer played that season we may not have had to rely on a more defensive approach? Wasn't he told by the board at the time that he needed to sell one of either Ferdinand or Asprilla? There was an offer for Ferdinand on the table that was decent money for a striker his age and Asprilla offered different skills to Ferdinand and Shearer that would allow the team to play differently should the need arise. Within 36 hours of that decision, Ferdinand had agreed to move and Shearer got injured. Dalglish did ask Ferdinand to stay once Shearer's injury had been confirmed as serious but Ferdinand didn't want to go back on his word having only agreed to move a few hours earlier.

Rooney would get in, not sure who out of Beardsley or Lineker you'd drop though. Possibly Terry at the expense of Butcher.

There's still no money for transfers. A £32m loss in the Championship will turn into at least a £10m profit in the Premiership, if he's not planning to take that money out he's obviously looking to use it for player recruitment. that leads you to question what "break even" means. is it to be able to run the club without running up any debt (if so your post says we could possibly do that next season) or is it for the club to be debt free in which case it's a lot to be paid off in 4 years. I wonder if it just happens to coincide with the date that UEFA are looking at to block European entry to clubs that aren't financially sound.

Do those figures include the early season ticket renewals for next season?
-
Reading the article it sounds as if they have a loan for the amount of the parachute payment not that they've actually received it from the Premier League yet. If they go down that cash will be used to repay the loan, if they stay up they'll get that cash and more.

Top 10 Reasons Why Newcastle United Might Struggle To Make It In The EPL

And people wonder why no one takes Championship Manager seriously any more -
Does that include the debts too? And the price of the new stadium that's required?. And transfer cash for the coming season? Even if the price to get the yanks to leave is a 1/4 of that, the club needs a fuck load of cash for rebuilding. i think thats just the asking price for the club So when you add in the debts, the cost of a new stadium & transfer cash you're looking at close to £1.2 billion. I was going to suggest that you could just as easily buy Man Utd for £800 million but I suspect that's where Hicks has got his valuation from.

This is going to drive some Boro fans nuts. If they get anything out of their game against West Brom at the weekend it guarantees us the Championship title, lose and they'll have almost no chance of getting into the play-offs. No matter what happens in that game, they lose.
-
£20-25m + money generated through transfers would be pretty good. I don't know whether the remaining cash would be used to pay back loans to Ashley or whether it'd be used to cover the wages, etc. that Ashley's been covering with the loans to get the club running on an even keel.
-
Back to the Premier League & back to the complacent shit that got us down here in the first place. Hughton needs to absolutely bollock them at half time, that performance was abysmal and it was only thanks to some of the most stupid defending you'll ever see that we're on level terms at half time.
-
Did we ever lose a game on Five? I seem to remember that we'd either win or draw on Five before ITV would grab the rights to the other game in which we'd lose.
-
He's meant to be on about £60k per week at Hull. If he's over the worst of his injury problems and if he was willing to sign a pay-as-you-play type deal on a much lower wage he'd be worth going for, despite his age.
-
There's also a chance that if they haven't sorted out their finances by the start of next season and don't have a Company Voluntary Arrangement in place the Football League can deduct another 15 points, so they could start next season on -24 points.
