  1. We beat Doncaster at home, to be fair. Last minute Nolan winner with 10 men.
  2. Did my post really deserve a quote there ffs? He's a nice bloke. Decent as a manager may have been stretching things a tad, but we've had far worse in the past 10 years.
  3. People like Chris Hughton because his era is the last time many of us can remember having any pride in the club and gave the club some real dignity. Two things Pardew has stripped away completely. No-one thinks he was a great manager but we had many great games under him that mean people remember him fondly (as they should). Which I have no problem with. Projecting qualities onto him he clearly didn't have really have - such as an ability to manage players who need firm discipline - is pretty senseless, though.
  4. I don't think he's really an on-the-shoulder type of striker, mind. More of a fox in the box with really good link up play, the ability to run at players and ghost into the danger area from a slightly deeper position.
  5. I'm sorry but when he was managing Newcastle United we had Kevin Nolan throwing up on the pitch, knackered because of his lack of fitness and and Alan fucking Smith starting games over players with more talent in their arsehole, even in the Premier League. I don't think things would be any different whatsoever.
  6. It's more annoying that some people think Chris Hughton's something he's not because Nolan, Carroll and Coloccini won the Championship for him.
  7. We'll probably beat Everton. Useless this season.
  8. The lad needs help. So does Golfmag for swallowing such rubbish.
  9. He is shit, that's unarguable but I'm sure Pardew's pre-match team talk won't help anyone's confidence. He'll have been banging on about the dangers of the opposition and making the team feel as if they were beaten before they even set foot on the pitch. Williamson's 31 years old. If the words of Alan Pardew intimidate him into forgetting how to defend his cause is a lost one.
  10. You'd almost think he was as good as Cabaye.
  11. We're all too aware he has mitigating circumstances.
  12. Plenty have come back stronger and more appreciative of their careers because of it. We've seen the opposite of Ben Arfa. How so? When he came back he got his head down, worked hard and did what he was told. In fact weren't his two wonder goals post injury? And indeed the best football we've seen under Pardew? Which is why his injury can't really be factored in. He's played the best football of his career post-injury.
  13. That's basically the dumbed down version of what I just said, isn't it, Ste?
  14. Shouldn't that have made him more inclined to value the short window of opportunity he has as a professional footballer?
  15. I'm not pinning that one on Man U. Most of it gets sung at SJP.
  16. Has nothing on this one, mind: http://thefanclub.com/comment/manchester-united/1085621
  17. Why was he expecting Pardew to go before September 1st?
  18. He's not finished but he'll never come close to fulfilling his talent. It's a big shame.
  19. I think the fact he's at Hull City at 27 says it all.
  20. There is no reasoning with that load of rubbish. Marveaux frequently looked a very useful player for us who was cast aside because he worried about hurting the opposing players in front of him instead of protecting the inadequate cunts behind. Can't have that, oh no.
  21. Which managers dealt with hba in his early 20's other than Deschamps? Who has proven to be utter shit. What's your point? It don't have one. It was a (genuine) question, not a statement.
  22. Which manager dealt with Cantona in his early 20s?
