They have been the better side and have a striker who can actually score. Not really, they have done fuck all up till that point. Plus we never ever get into situations to allow our striker to score. When ever do we ever score from a rebounded tap in or even get the opportunity to do so? the build up of how we create chances is a bigger problem. It's the sure sign of relegation doomed team when the 50/50s always bobble the wrong way, the deflections, rebounds, etc... they say you make your own luck and to an extent that's true as the marking was rediculous on their goal but again a loose ball falls away from our players.

It was the easiest fixture on the calendar for the best part of thirty years before Pards got involved. Seems like a lifetime ago thanks to a string of incompetents. With Rafa in charge we're the best prepared we've been for years and we should win this but I'm still nervous as fuck! If Rafa can't get these fuckers to do it then no one can.

Siem De Jong His first game at home under Benitez, I think it's worth starting him, if he disappears then yes by all means hook him off.
