We have by far the best strength in depth and as the season wears on and players get fatigued/injured we'll still be able to put out a fresh team especially with any January acquisitions we make. We'll at the very least continue our form whilst others drop off.

I don't know why Rafa wouldn't bring him back as a no.10 he's just the type of player we need to break into the box, no one in our team at the moment is making those surging runs and putting the defenders on the back foot. He'd be great foil for Gayle.

We're too slow on the ball, laborious build up play, there's no urgency there at all. We keep possession well (until Colback gets the ball) but don't do anything of note with it.

It's less a desperation for 4-4-2 and more a request for a bit of flexibility, had we gone 4-4-2 earlier in this match we probably would have got something. This over-reliance on 4-2-3-1 even when it's not working is killing us in games like today.

Most saw it, Rafa left it too long to bring on Atsu, who changed our directness immediately, then Mitro who gave us someone to make the ball stick and bring it down. We looked much more likely to get something, I love Rafa but he should have seen that and acted earlier. Can't even say Wednesday weren't good for the win. This is happening too much.
