Aye, I can strangely put up with him a bit more than Pardews punchable face but my f***ing word I would cry if he got it. We have the opportunity to do it the other way around again and I hope to f*** we choose well I wasn't suggesting you were rationalising it, it was a general observation that some were, like they're trying to kid themselves it's not the nightmare decision it actually is. Reading between the lines I don't even think it sounds like Janmaat wants Carver in charge, it sounds like he's referring to Carver as a worse case scenario

I wouldn't put anything past this club, but would Ashley really trust our Premiership survival to a Neanderthal? I think we're probably waiting to see if he has the ability to drag us safe to seasons end. If he fails to pick up any points by the end of the month someone will be appointed. If Carver starts picking up points and looks like he can keep us safe I can see them keeping him in charge until the summer and consider our options then when a few more managers may be available. I refuse to believe they'd want him in full time.

I think we'll take a beating in the first half then "win" the second half by keeping them out whilst not scoring, easy 2-0 for Southampton.
