  1. Mancini is a poor man's Pardew tbf
  2. Zabaleta should have seen straight red for that, insane tackle, he was going nowhere against 3 players!?!
  3. Sissoko has a position??? Most people call it doggystyle. That because of our penchant for bending over and taking it full throttle when we go 1-0 up?
  4. He deserves until Christmas after winning the league last season though.
  5. I've seen this Girard rumour knocking about on the Internet for a few days, would take him in a heartbeat (please be true, please be true!)

Surely that just shows the ineptitude of the fraud. I'm sick of his excuses, lies, face, just everything, just fuck off you absolute joke!
  7. Liking how energetic Wigan are being today, they're gonna burn out and hopefully be fucked for the Arsenal game! Extra time would be amazing!

I don't think anyone has said that though, have they? I've said a few times that I think that's what the club will do; look at where we are by then before considering any change. It's about half the season (ie a fair crack of the whip) and if we're still around the lower regions of the league with a few of this season's humiliations thrown in then they might put the trigger. Allows for any new manager to make changes in January too. Doesn't mean I 'want to give him until Christmas'. I never said you par se, it's a time frame I've heard people talking about and fans not necessarily on here. The comment wasn't directed at anyone in particular and meant just as much about MA and DL as it was anyone else. I stick by what I said, give him until midseason and we've wasted another season, missed out on any decent managers and are throwing someone in at the deep end. It just makes more sense to do it now, no?

I don't know why anyone would want to give him til Xmas. Even if it was worth the risk to see if he could turn it round (which I don't believe it is) its so much harder to find a decent manager midseason if it goes tits up. It would be much more pertinent to get a manager in now and give him a preseason to acclimatise to the club and players and get the squad playing like he wants than to throw him in at the deep end, when given the circumstances to Pardew being sacked we'd need an immediate upturn in results. I just think if we were to sack him at Xmas we'd end up with a rush appointment and back at square one and writing ANOTHER season off to "transition". It makes so much more sense to cut ties now so we can prepare for next season and put this all in our torrid past!
  10. I think he's a good manager and could very well prove himself, but 6 years seems like a risky move to me on someone that's unproven at this level. Could be a very smart move like.

Ever thought that the 8 year contract was not more to do with compensation for us if the success continued and a bigger club came calling?
  12. Seriously concerned about him leaving now, he's been consistently one of our best players this season and the defence looks dodgy as fuck without him. Unless we spend a large chunk of money to replace him he will be a massive loss for us.

That's all that needs saying at this point, everything else has been done to death.

I don't buy into blaming "bad luck" or reffing decisions, (a) you make your own luck (b) if you take your chances the luck is irrelevant and © all teams have a run of the good and bad, over the course of a season this should and in most cases does even out. The reason the bad luck stands out so much is that even when things do go our way we lose anyway and so the good luck goes under the radar.

It's not ironic, considering I'm only 'arrogant' because I disagreed. How you think I'm still persisting with it, I'll never know. But, I really don't care and I'm not getting into another personal bitch slapping contest. You're more than welcome to label them as stupid, I've done the same to you (and others) numerous times. What I don't agree with is this emerging belief that match going supporters, home and away, are less knowledgeable because they're not falling in line with this forum's opinion on the manager. This has gone as far as people recently saying they're making a negative, or even destructive, contribution to the club, man. We are going round in circles here, the unrest came to a crescendo on here first, this forum has taken a majority stand firmly in the Pardew out camp, whereas there are still people (mostly lead by mainstream media) who believe he should be given time. You, and others, are entitled to your opinion, however, that does not stop others feeling frustrated that in the light of such overwhelming evidence he is still being supported! FYI, having scoured a lot of online fanzines in the past week or two I can confidently say that this forum is definitely not in the minority anymore and the unrest is building up pace. If you believe Pardew is the man to take us forward, all power to you, I think you're wrong and you won't convince me otherwise, he's had his chances and royally f***ed it up. That's the second post where you're joining an argument that doesn't exist, mate. I'm not disputing the belief that the manager should go. I'm annoyed with the attitude towards fellow loyal supporters, simply because some of them have a different opinion. Something I know all too well about. Who said I was arguing mate? I agree people shouldn't be barraged for their view but I can also understand the frustrations involved given the circumstances.

Eh ?? Have I missed something ? I can think of several reasons why Pardew's position may be in jeopardy, but it may well be support from the dressing room, not lack of it, that keeps him in his job. He has clearly lost the dressing room. See Liverpool game, and recent reports of unrest. Utter nonsense. Even if he had "lost lost the dressing room", there's nothing "clear" about it. Liverpool was a diabolical, humiliating performance but had Ferguson, Lambert, di Fascisto, etc etc "lost the dressing room" prior to similar results ? Recent reports ? Aye let's believe the scurrilous Luke Edwards rather than anyone who is actually in the dressing room such as the club captain who's just said "The manager and the players are together. People can criticise when they want, but we always give our best on the pitch and on the training ground.” There's plenty of scope to get at Pardew without having to make s*** up to validate the criticism of him. PS "lost the dressing room" is such a stupid expression, I can only assume it was someone like Lawrenson who first used it. You lose your fuckin keys not a building with showers and coat hangers. So if he's not "lost the players" and they are trying their hardest in training and on the pitch then surely that intimates that there are fundamental problems with the coaching and tactics, which essentially also lies at the feet of the manager. It's clear from previous games and the reasoning behind buying these players, that they are a lot more skilled than recent performances have given evidence to.

Doesn't deserve the shit he's getting in here, the man's a legend! Yes he talks some shit but I think he's on the money this time. Clearly thinks Pardew is horseshit and I tend to agree, also the players aren't blameless. We need to go get a convincing win at QPR and put this season to bed and do what has to be done to start afresh in August.
  19. I think the fact it's Manyoo will be enough sway to bring in players, initially that won't be a problem, it's only long term if he doesn't keep them winning that the top players won't come.

You'd think after backing him so heavily in January though and seeing that money go down the drain drastically with performances, player values and ultimately league position, which itself poses a loss in revenue due to league standings rewards, Ashley MUST be seething. Can you really see him swallowing that? He's in it for at least making his money back and this will be a huge dent in his endeavours. I believe Pardew bought himself time with last years 5th place, but that time has run out, he was backed in January, when he should have been fired and he's made a mockery of them. Surely his cards must be marked now?
  21. Years ago Ferguson wanted Moyes as his number two iirc, Moyes stayed at Preston. Fergie clearly rates him and i reckon would have a great deal of input into who is the next manager. I remember that, I thing Fergusons always had a soft spot for Moyes, I, and I'm sure others, have always thought he'd be the next manager there.
