For all he’s a good player, does he score or assist enough for that kind of money? Unless the thinking is in a better team his output will increase. I’m not saying he’s Rodri but as a comparison. Rodri has a goal or assist every 4 games in the PL and Anderson has a contribution around every 8 games.

The ability and awareness to not only beat those 4 players but to play the little pass to Bruno was class, could’ve really easily just tried to take it on himself but the pass opened everything up. Mucho exciting.

Nah he’s much more attacking than Bruno, he had 15 league goals last season.

As it stands because of Gordon’s suspension and Barnes being out of form we’re getting nothing from LW. There’s enough signs with Elanga to suggest that ones there’s a CF in place that he will start to get the assists that some of his crossing has deserved. I think with Gordon back on the left and either Wissa/Woltemade (probably more Wissa due to Woltemade’s style) that we’ll be alright.

Prolific was probably the wrong word. I think they’ve realised that they need someone who’s likely to provide goals and assist (basically a more attacking option) like Ramsey. It’s too reliant on the wide players & also probably why they’ve brought in Woltemade as well given his link up ability with the midfield.

Ederson isn’t going to help with goals or assists though. Given than neither Bruno or Tonali are particularly prolific with those either it’s probably a more attacking option that they would look at if Joelinton did leave.
