Still feel we are in the Klopp early years buying players like Origi and Fabinho and this summer we are going to get our Allison VVD Mane and Salah equivalents to take us into title challengers.

Arguably if we had Minteh, we wouldn't have needed Elanga, and if we had Anderson, we wouldn't have needed Ramsay. We would have another £100m to spend. Or could have then let Willock go for Ramsay, even let Barnes go for Elanga if need be. Those two especially because they're so young are the future of the club. So damn frustrating. The worst decision and just our luck - most other PSR deals let nobodies in their youth team go (e.g. Irogebum or Philogene or other randoms) - not actual proper Prem players. In hindsight, it would have been better for the team letting Gordon go for 70m - have Barnes, Joelinton and Anderson (or Minteh) cover the LW last season. At least we'd not have a GK we never use, and two young stars who Howe would improve no end.

Celta Vigo, Everton, the Chinese club etc - even Newcastle (except the first season, 8 games or so) - none of them had a solid spine of quality players and foundations. They weren't expected to do anything except escape relegation, other than China perhaps. You can only do so much with poor tools. Forest are actually a good club with history plus good players right now, plus are in Europe. Dodgy owner yes, so the job will be a pressured one from day one but he will make them solid again and he can be expansive once they are used to his drills. I think we forget, he knows what he is doing and is a much safer pair of hands than the likes of Ange or any of the other flavours of the month.

He'd be amazing for them, would love to see it personally. He can take Nunos defensive foundations and build on it with actual quality players. He's ambitious and if he joins can see them going far in Euripe this season.

Two Lewis too (Miley and Hall) Two Jacobs on opposite sides too (Murphy RM, Ramsey LM)
-
He would have had a CL hat-trick if he had done so!
-
Still want Scalvini but can wait until next summer now - when Schar hangs up his boots
-
Make him our regular pel taker not Gordon
-
I think we have the raw materials but just need the sprinkling of stardust all top title challenging teams need. If we signed two or three world class players next year that would be enough.

Anderson and Wharton to replace Bruno and Joelinton in Howe's all-British Mags dream? That's why Delap, Trafford and Guehi were first choice
-
Replace Pope for Ramsdale Schar for Thiaw (although interchangeable) Burn for Botman - this one is clear that Botman is our best defender so must play Murphy for Elanga (Elanga has a higher ceiling and frightens the opposition more so gives the others more freedom too) I agree with the rest. Would like to see us play that system once Wissa is back. Miley is good backup to Tonali Joelinton could be back up to Gordon or Bruno in this Ditto Ramsay In January we need: A backup left back Another CM (let go of Willock) To let Lascelles go In the summer I'd like: Another top striker Let Joelinton go and get a replacement A world class goalkeeper A replacement for Trippier
-
Thiaw can play RB Let's try him there, Schar, Botman, Hall
-
Bruno Hall and Tino too eventually
-
could miley and tonali be double pivot and bruno at 10? hes the most technical player we have?
-
I think if we get CL again we then are a regular part of the new big 6 then it won’t just be Ramsey and Thiaw level players. the next level up once it is established we are regular CL team is the Camvavingas and bigger names who can be part of the project Long term.

Ditto. Think Kane has crept ahead now, even though I was the biggest Shearer fan. Had Shearer not gotten the injuries esp in 1997 it would be no contest. Pre 97 Shearer was far and away the best. I’d even put him above Rooney tbh for sheer destructiveness. He could have gone to Europe after Euro 96 and smashed it like Kane. Was top 5 in Europe in a golden age of strikers in the mid 90s. R9, Batistuta, Shearer, Vieri/Del Piero, Weah (off the top of my head Post 97 that injury took at least 35% off him. Credit to him he still competed but went from being a Haaland to being a better version of Wood. Kane was a late bloomer but has had no injuries so has developed a higher trajectory. Much of Kane’s best work has come after 30, where he’s gotten even more prolific like CR7 at a time where strikers usually slow down.

No if we're talking number 1 transfer targets there's way better We've been linked with Camavinga in the last two days who id much rather have even though I rate Anderson
-
Would be interesting to see Miley in the 6 position and then Tonali and Bruno in front of him. Could become first choice if it clicks, with Joe at first sub. When they've all played together it's been Tonali at 6.
-
We needed a Fratessi or someone established and of equal or just slightly lesser quality for 4th CM, who can slot in for the big 3. Miley is then first sub after those guys - still 30 games a season. Willock is now the Longstaff - 8-15 games here and there.
