    Jacob Murphy

Especially as Liverpool seem to have designs on him as Salah replacement
  2. Now that would be awesome if it happens.
  3. Also the fact they are technically our football fwends more than anyone else Plus we share more than Sels, Wood and Anderson in common - let's not forget the legend that is Lee Charnley
  4. If Murphy was in this form back when Wood was here…
  5. Hall and Targett back up is solid LB LCB has good back up RB does LCM is ok with the Joes not sure if Miley is Tonali or Bruno backup but RCM seems fine LW is good. All other positions are weak and need strengthening
  6. In hindsight should’ve left way before Anderson

Darren Eales on the recent stadium news said you have to find the right balance between demand and capacity to be able to generate consistent revenue at the right price. He was responsible for Atlantas 75k stadium build. If you overestimate demand and have too big a stadium for your needs you’ll forever struggle commercially. very clear that’s what’s been done here

    Harvey Barnes

    I miss the BIG partnership

    Alexander Isak

Yes true Rice was obviously a big baller move, but it was a mid-table club so a natural upgrade. Sol Campbell at the time - but Spurs were also mid at the time. Bergkamp was out of favour at Inter Henry had flopped at Juve Vieira had flopped at Milan Overmars was a big name though Rosicky was also fairly big Aubemeyang and Alexis were good players but never one of the top 10 strikers in the world at their peaks Interesting how big they think they are. Wenger was a genius tbh.

Needs to play in Europa Conference League type games

If anything we’ve shown more ambition in our signings than them Tonali. Isak, Bruno. Ben Arfa. Shearer, Kluivert. Theirs are mostly promising talents, have to think back to Ozil when they bought peak talent for top money
  12. We have Forest Wood, Shelvey and Anderson Only Shelvey was a flop they’ve given us Greek gk. they are most definitely up on the mutual transactions and owe us big time Give them Almiron or Targett or Kelly or anyone else we’re struggling to get rid of or let us buy Milenkovic or Murillo or Danilo or CHO or Elanga for cheap
  13. Agreed 3 windows is bordering on Ashley level negligence

    Alexander Isak

This might sound weird, but I feel Isak is one of those guys who needs to be the main man, to feel loved and less pressured to perform at the highest level. At Borussia, a bigger club, he was one of many young prodigies - and it didn't click. But Wlilem II, AIK, Real Sociedad and us he smashed it at one of the lesser lights. He may need to be a big fish in a smaller pond. Imagine the groans at a Barcelona, Bayern or Real Madrid - which could then affect his ability to do it consistently.
  15. Let Barnes go in the summer and get Kvara in now they should get David and pay a bit more to get him in now like Sissoko In the summer we can get a proper RW like Alikouche or Bakayoko or ambient when Barnes is sold
  16. Also got me thinking how lucky we are to have Howe who is adaptable and pragmatic. That first half season he was patient, did whatever was needed not necessarily insist on following his preferred style as that may have been too risky. You do whatever is needed. compare that to Amorim or Ten Hag or some of the others who insist on only playing their way even in times of crisis
  17. Can see us finishing second this season need a few signings tho

Isak is our Salah, Aguero, etc - the CF you need for a reliable source of goals to win you things. That's priceless tbh - £150m sounds like a lot but replacing him may need 2 or 3 players We say Grealish and Bale were let go which helped the transition but neither of those clubs have won anything. Coutinho's sale which was £143m I think (which is ridiculous looking back) - is the right sort of level - and that was 7 years ago. Today, 143M would be closer to 185M. That's more accurate.
  19. He is from Southampton after all
  20. The goal reminded me of Isaks goal away to PSG
  21. I think we've been a bit too goody-two-shoes tbh - all for playing by the rules but we've been so compliant and meek it's not the most inspiring Go and get what we need, don't ask for permission ask for forgiveness There are a ton of precedents - Chelsea, Man U etc why we can do it. But then again I understand proper business people don't act like that with a billion dollar asset Kamikaze is dangerous, why bother taking that risk when they know they can build it properly as they are long term patient investors
  22. Mbuemo is like Mane at Southampton, about to enter that peak and era of goal gluts It's the one - even more so than Olise. Only issue, it's another very direct RW like barnes and Gordon - doesn't solve the creativity problem if Bruno was out for example.
