  1. It's extremely annoying that Man City, in one window have picked up ALL the young CB's we were looking at - Khusanov, Juma Bah and Victor Reis. That's proper FM hoarding tactics. Between Chelsea and Man City - how is anyone supposed to compete for any young player? The numbers are eye watering - Khusanov was bought for £84,000 - was linked with us for under £20m but went for £34m. We bought Botman for that - who was much more developed. It used to be you could buy 5 or 6 PL players in a summer - top end was £10-15m. Even the summer we bought Mitrovic and Wijnaldum, we spent £80m or so but 4 or 5 top class young players. Now - £80m gets you 1, maybe 2 players at the most. You're not actually allowed to rebuild your team at the right level. It doesn't even make sense.
  2. Anyone can see that the team desperately needs fresh blood, an injection or impetus from somewhere. The Papiss Cisse effect - could actually be the difference between 7th and 4th and even winning the Carabao. Keeps the team pumped, on their toes, hungry and motivated to achieve as they believe they are being supported fully to achieve the goals set out. If Isak is out - the team's chance of success in that fixutre diminish by a good 40%. He is the one player we do not have adequate back up for right now. Most other areas, we can do a job. It used to be Bruno also, but Tonali can cover for him now. Getting a Mbuemo or someone of that ilk is extremely important for this season. Even if someone like Gordon or Botman has to be sold in the summer. (Would prefer to keep Bruno, Isak and Tonali as purples for now). The other two are more replaceable.

Please just get a Saudi Pro League loan player or two. We need a bit of fresh blood. Riyad Mahrez or Sadio Mane on loan? Ruben Neves or Milenkovic-Savic on loan? Even Ivan Toney - loan swap deal with Wilson (with PIF paying salaries) Simikan on loan for RCB too. Would defo finish top 3.

Forest have done it well they now have a core group who settled after the scattergun approach we did it well also but been far too stagnant for too long now
  5. What happened to him, he used to write very interesting things
  6. I wouldn’t have minded even one of their lesser used outfield players they bought in their scattergun days. Any of Sangare williams danilo Awonyi even Andrew omobadimedele dominguez at least those would be serviceable 3rd choice keeper is a joke
  7. I'd rather have been fined at this point.
  8. I agree that this is more likely. Imagine a world where PSR is removed. PIF finally wake up and are able to spend at will. We have a bigger ceiling than Arsenal - even if they are bigger right now. Saka is still very young. If Arteta gets binned, they could drop off a bit if they don't get his successor right. Meanwhile we have a strong English core, Gordon on the other flank, Tino behind him. Englands first choice left side and right side pairing for WC 2026. Jobs a good un.
  9. Tbh Rafa Benitez would have sorted this out and made them tough to beat and winning again hes had poor talent in his last few jobs would have been a safer pair of hands than Amorim
  10. Looks like both Kelly and Tosin chose poorly
  11. I miss the first PIF window. I was glued, literally every day there was such exciting links and we were extremely active probably will never happen at that level again
  12. the damn PSR stuff hit us hardest than most. The irony is if we didn’t need to sell Anderson and Minteh urgently we’d not need to spend now. Anderson would phase out Longstaff and Minteh would be cover for Murphy and someone who can change the game from the bench. We didn’t benefit from Vlach coming in at all. We literally got weaker, others at least got a young player they can flip later. Terrible business.
  13. So true. Ironically if there’s ever a team that DOESNT need to be sustainable it’s us.
  14. Not sure why Targett wasn’t on the bench, would have been a better option than Trippier as he’s more solid

    Joe Willock

Feels like a Fulham or Crystal Palace player at best. Perhaps West Ham or Brentford
  16. Desperately need a refresh
  17. I thought if David come in he could play the Joshua King role off just behind Isak who is the Wilson so something like Bruno Tonali RW David Gordon Isak
  18. Longstaff is going to be sold either in Jan or in summer - pure profit there of 15-20m. Almiron - 10m Perhaps Lascelles, Kelly, Targett, Krafth, Trippier, Wilson too. Whole load of wages free up, even if not a huge amount of actual fees. If you think about the Guehi money, and what we have to replace - we need to spend £100m minimum UNLESS we get cleverer with free transfers - look at Villa with Kamara - and also with younger foreign players like Minteh. They don't always work - e.g for every Minteh there's a Kuol or Ashby but we have to box clever. I'd look to get: Kyle Walker Peters - 7m (or free in summer) - covers both Trippier AND Targett - no brainer Dibling - 35-40m - the RW version of Hall/Tino OR Mbuemo - 55m RCB - Tapsoba - 35m (or Jonathon Tah, free) Jonathon David - Free Angel Gomes - Free Roony Bardhaji - Free There's a lot of quality becoming available - pay more on the wages if required if it means we can spend the majority on
  19. What I’ve noticed is that when they pay £50m plus they go for big established names who are young and best years ahead. Isak, Tonali and Guehi. All are finished articles as is but with growth potential also. the 40m range are the good and could be great in Gordon and Bruno ( the 30m range are the superstar youngsters - Hall and Tino 20m and below are the guys that can do a job, Burn, Targett, Wood. Trippier coz of age. this seems to be the profile. Could see them preferring Lee Kang In or Kubo at 40m rather than Mbuemo at 50m+
  20. would give them £50m plus either Longstaff or Trippier or Lascelles or even Kelly/Willock at a push
  21. This PSR stuff is so boring - adding way too much complexity to a simple game

Looking at Forest wouldn’t mind one of their underused players in CM backup such as Sangare or Danilo or Dominguez

Agreed needs to go in summer. Miley is next sub on now. Willock is 5th choice and Longstaff 6th. Wouldnt mind replacing 5th and 6th choices with some new options.
