This might sound weird, but I feel Isak is one of those guys who needs to be the main man, to feel loved and less pressured to perform at the highest level. At Borussia, a bigger club, he was one of many young prodigies - and it didn't click. But Wlilem II, AIK, Real Sociedad and us he smashed it at one of the lesser lights. He may need to be a big fish in a smaller pond. Imagine the groans at a Barcelona, Bayern or Real Madrid - which could then affect his ability to do it consistently.

Also got me thinking how lucky we are to have Howe who is adaptable and pragmatic. That first half season he was patient, did whatever was needed not necessarily insist on following his preferred style as that may have been too risky. You do whatever is needed. compare that to Amorim or Ten Hag or some of the others who insist on only playing their way even in times of crisis

Coutinho's sale which was £143m I think (which is ridiculous looking back) - is the right sort of level - and that was 7 years ago. Today, 143M would be closer to 185M. That's more accurate.

Mbuemo honestly makes so much sense - one extra player, two extra roles filled but it will galvanise and support the team to make that extra push

I think Mbuemo knows he’s ready for the next level now Bournemouth have a very good team and Semenyo is a big part of it. Can see him sticking around for a bit Mbuemo would be a guaranteed hit. Worth the Guehi money. No nonsense just get the finished product. Would be buying him at peak value though which Mitchell doesn’t really do
