  1. That was more relevant in the Ashley era with Rafa playing Mr Fox with Ashley, Charnely and Justin Barnes/Keith Bishop (was struggling for a third as we had zero staff back then lol)
  2. I think the Saudi's are long term thinkers - in that there are barriers for NUFC to become number 1 and therefore for all football operations to run through it. But with them hosting the world cup in 2034, you'd think by then, they would want to have the biggest team in the world, just like Qatar had in mind with the PSG purchase for 2022, having Messi and Mbappe and Neymar at the club at the time. The Saudi league is a way for them to still get that thrill of building - which is probably a good thing otherwise NUFC would have 39 year old Ronaldo and other last pay-day mercenaries and it would be exactly like the media predicted. Instead, we've kept a cleaner image and they've still been able to do that with their own league - win win in my opinion.
  3. This is a shame the thing you need after a loss is a game against lower opposition to get the confidence up and cobwebs out of your game would have been good runaround before Man City this weekend
  4. this season for sure has been full of issues But last season for me was at a similar level to the CL season. We genuinely dominated games, we were exciting and pressed and blew teams away with goals. Last season was just that period decimated by injuries in the middle that wrecked things otherwise it was excellent. We were just extremely extremely unlucky, even to the point where Man U denied us Europe in the very end. this season has not even got going, there’s not been one good performance as yet. So it might be part of the slow start Eddie tends to have but with better points total or the stuff behind the scenes really is taking a toll
  5. Bowen has the output of Barnes but is older Kudus is very good but less elite mentality
  6. Could Livramento please just do a Gareth Bale and become an elite RW and solve all of our problems?
  7. Why wouldn't this be on the level of Juventus (who were demoted two divisions I believe) or even Rangers (who had to start again from the bottom)?

    Joe Willock

We should play 4-2-3-1 Tonal Bruno as the two gordon rw barnes lw willock cam isak st would be very powerful as willock and isak have good chemistry already and he can both run and finish could be a game changer would like to try it at some point
  9. This is probably unfair as last season everything did click on the pitch, except the extreme levels of bad luck. But we were blowing teams away regularly and the style was clear to see. He’s trying to transition into a less intensive explosive team perhaps with one eye on reducing injuries and impact but so far it’s not quite there. I’m sure it’ll get there as he does seem honest that it’s not working as opposed to hiding behind the result

    Harvey Barnes

Explains why Leicester did well even after losing Mahrez and Kante This guys efficiency is killer Between him and Vardy they had enough to stay up there

    Joe Willock

Willock reminds me of the character Megget that Nelly played in the Longest Yard, just all legs, super fast and running for days past anyone and everyone
  12. Kennedy vs Cardiff or Swansea when he missed last min penalty and had a 0% pass completion rate

    England

All of these England players play on the left side We need a RW equivalent! But yes I agree The team is definitely on the up. That's probably why there was so much frustration in the summer, it's not far from completion so it was a missed opportunity Let's not forget Isak who scored 3 in 2 games
  14. Rob Elliot easily - also played for ROI

    Anthony Gordon

He also isn’t great at taking his man on. Feels a bit one dimensional in that sense, fairly predictable
  16. HBA was way more effective than Ginola, in terms of output
  17. I remember this, it was called At my peak or at his peak or something. We really did have him for his peak years. He would have been a 80-100m player today.
  18. Keegan, Ben Arfa, Shearer. In that order.
  19. AHH ok didn't know that 👍🏼
