    Gervinho

Yes, of course that happened. Yes it did smartarse. He was in my brothers shop, my brother was chatting to him as he showed him round, he asked him what he was doing over here and he said he was discussing a contract. Same happened when Smith signed. I knew about that before it was made public.

Does he definitely still have them daft dreads ? There was a french player in a shop on Acorn Road in Jesmond y'day - mid 20's, black, quite a big lad. Said he was here to discuss terms with NUFC. But he didn't have dreads. It wasn't that new kid from Lens so trying to suss out who it could be.......
  3. we have an underperforming, de-motivated, want-away, threadbare squad we have an awol, clueless owner who is a tightarsed cunt our recruitment director is scared to be seen at the ground our manager was a last ditch, scraping the bottom of the barrel appointment who has been out of the game for years and wasn't even that good when he was in the game we have tossed away hugely important points at home to teams we should really be beating we rareley win on the road we have relegation written all over us. how the fuck can anyone say otherwise ? since the season went sour people have been saying we had winnable games coming up and should steer ourselves clear of trouble. Well guess what fucknuts, we didn't.
  4. at least a fruitless cup run won't interfere with our all important relegation battle.
  5. A big worry for me is the large amount of people leaving the ground seemingly pleased cos "it was a canny game to watch" Fuck that ! We were 1-0 up and scraped a 2-2 draw. We got a point when we should have had 3. We are still very much in the shite. Can people not see the reality of our predicament ? "Canny games" are matches where we win, or maybe a draw against a top 4 side. Nowt else matters but the points at the moment.

if you don't like them and their opinions then why bother logging on to read. it's your own decision to view the site. it's their website, what's written and what sponsors they have is their business. Same with True Faith. They aren't forcing you to accept or agree with their views. and both NUFC.com and True Faith will always say "this is our view, we are not speaking on behalf of all NUFC fans". If people are that arsed about things then start your own site and get your own opinions aired to the world.
  7. he's hawked the club around, no-one will buy it, so he has to sit tight rather than lose many millions on his purchase. until the economy picks up or some mentalist is daft enough to make a sizeable offer than he's saddled with NUFC whether he likes it or not.
  8. But you cant just take the stadium away. The stadium is a symbol of how far we have come. Reverse the question... are we a small club? Call me deluded but I would say we definitely are not a small club. how far we have come from when ? The 80's when we truly s****, yes. The 90's and early 00's, no chance, we've gone miles backwards. all the stadium says is that we have 45-50,000 people who will pay to watch NUFC season after season. it means we have a big fanbase, not that we are a big club. when we win something, challenge for trophies regularly, play in europe every season, have a strong squad and can attract world class talent to play for us then we will be a "big club". We got very close in the 90's then f***ed it all up in spectacular fashion. currently we are below average in everything we do other than the our ability to generate headlines for all the wrong reasons.
  9. Who are they? Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal. Sure, others may have won more than us (yes your club I know) but thats the way I see it. Im sorry if you dissagree. Spurs, Villa, Everton, Man City, Chelsea all clubs that are currently much "bigger" than us. They have had more recent success or stability and attract better players. We think because we have played Champions League for a few seasons and finished 2nd in the league and cup in the 90's we are "big". Which is shite as far as I'm concerned. Take away the stadium and away following and what do we have to offer apart from cringeworthy tabloid headlines. No wonder other fans think we are deluded clowns.
  10. As much as it may fuck us off, realistically what would you do ? You work for a firm that is fundamentally unstable. You've been there 3 years and have had a number of managers and 2 dodgy owners, the current one has gone awol and is trying to sell. The firm has taken massive steps backwards in the three years you have been there. Despite them supporting you through a long period of illness you have no emotional ties to the firm, you are only there because they pay you way over the odds. There's a serious chance the firm could fold (in our case be relegated) in 6 months. You have one or two moves max before you retire The door is wide open for you to leave at your own free will and join a better, more successful firm at low risk to yourself. Would you sign up for another 3 years of chaos and uncertainty ? I know I wouldn't. I'd be listening to offers and planning my escape.
  11. aye. he was going: "wheeese keeeeys are theeeese keeeeeys. bewk, skewl, rewler etc etc etc"
  12. interestingly the makem at work also said their board have stated they want a manager with euro experience. He is gutted at the thought of McClaren getting the job !
  13. Steve McClaren was in an upmarket clothes shop in Newcastle on Thurs lunchtime. When asked what he was doing over here he wouldn't say. He may have been doing xmas shopping, he may have been getting interviewed at the SoL. Am prettty sure Twente are playing this weekend so I'd suggest he should have been taking training. I thought it was worth sticking a tenner on at 40-1.
  14. same for me. turned off the phone, no telly, no radio. flicked ceefax on at 5pm. say the 0-0 and was pleasantly amazed. back into the thick of things next week as making the trip down to Boro.
  15. He doesn't even need to do that, he's everywhere at the same time. He is in all our rooms staring at us right now. You know when people drive past your house playing loud hiphop? That is Nile Ranger. talking like that is how relegions get started. and at this stage despite some strong form I'm not sure if Nile Ranger is actually the son of god....
  16. pretty sure it wasn't a bizzie 'copter. looked like a luxury thing to me.
  17. you could easily follow them home from training I reckon. it's probably Mancs doing all the robbing.
  18. be lots of trouble from Stoke generally now their ID card scheme has been pulled.
  19. C0cks who tell people to sit down when the whole of an end is on their feet because there's a goalscoring chance etc. Lets have safe standing and these whinging tossers can go and sit and wallow in their own misery in a seperate section.
  20. Spot on. The league is tighter than I can remember it for a long time. The only major gap is 5 points between 6th & 7th. so who is going down then ? Asked me in August and I would have said Hull, Stoke and 1 from Fulham, Wigan, WBA, Bolton. Things have clearly become a lot more worrying since then.
  21. what worries me most is when you look at the results the other teams around us have got this weekend. I couldn't see us getting 3 points from any of these matches but other bottom of the table sides walked away with 3 points. Pompey away Arsenal at home Liverpool at home Man City at home Given our off field situation and on field performances I have a genuine fear of relegation. The only upside is that at least its only November and theoretically we have time to turn to things round.
