I feel dirty for saying this, but the current Germany shirt is pretty lush isn’t it? looks like it’s who'll we'll be facing in the final if the first 10 minutes is anything to go by too
-
I imagine it’s because Ipswich would want a fortune for him, they bought him for £22M last summer

He wasn’t a shadow of the player he was for us prior to the game vs Arsenal.

Antonio 'Antoñito' Cordero (on loan at Westerlo)

That is true but let’s be honest we were a pretty terrible team at that point, same goes for Perez and even Bassong. I’d hope we aren’t in such a position again personally, let the kids come in to a properly firing and functional team when they’re actually ready. -
Charles Nzogbia has more than twice the number of goals for Newcastle that Ginola has, so I’d bloody hope so
-
I wouldn’t have thought so as even if we bought someone of the first of June only one month of Amortisation would’ve affected this years PSR calculations

You been listening in to me in the office? Although the cheese triple is a banger too 🤣
-
I've said it before but all the Bedlington lads of my vintage, who played to a decent level, single Jamie out as the best they’ve ever shared a pitch with by a large margin. And given how good some of those were, that’s no mean feat. Alex "Disco" Lawson, will rave about him any chance he gets

We all have 20-20 hindsight but I agree with this line of thinking, Batty added more defensive solidity, but we lost a lot of creativity when Clarky was left out
-
Aye I loved it, why I decided to deface it by having "Inches" and "12" on the back, I’ll chalk up to youthful exuberance (As well as bare faced, over confident, deception 🤣)

Lower in numbers yes, but not per capita. There is obviously a much smaller population up here. The knife crime in London is becoming a racist trope at this point, it’s often significantly below the likes of Glasgow, Liverpool and Manchester. Also the suggestion that knife crime has been brought to these shores by those with excess melanin syndrome, must be news to the real life Peaky Blinders, Glasgow razor gangs, Teddy Boys in the 50’s and on and on through the history of this island. i think the point that TCD was making was that poor people living in London have the luxury of being in closer proximity to opportunity, than those elsewhere. It’s why the entirety of the deindustrialised North suffer brain drain, where their brightest kids leave for University and due to lack of opportunity only a small proportion ever return. its the odd dichotomy of London, a dirt poor place like Tower Hamlets shares a postcode with Canary Wharf, sometimes the proximity and visibility can be the inspiration that bright poor kids need. "You can’t be, what you can’t see" and all that. Not disputing the overall point you’re making either btw, just hopefully adding extra colour and context 👍

The North East has a statistically bigger knife crime problem than London (Teeside is actually the worst per capita in the U.K.), and you’re naive if you don’t think just as many North East kids are tricked into county lines drug gangs as there are down south. A quick trip to a local YOI will quickly reappraise you of that folly I can assure you
-
You do realise that a bigger problem per capita in the council estates of the North East don’t you? And there’s no London-like city job opportunities for the ones that manage to avoid that trap either. Hence the diaspora of exiled Geordies on here

Were there not comments from Eales last summer that Eddie just needs to focus on "his job on the grass" or similar? Certainly seemed as if Eales was making a power play last summer, prior to his diagnosis understandably changing his focus.

It’s a nonsense link tbh, unless they sell a fair few players. They’ve just spunked a fortune on Wirtz and Kerkez, not to mention the fact that re-signing Salah and VVD will have cost them a pretty penny, do they have the headroom to offer the kind of fee to even get us considering their offer this summer? Dont get me wrong if Isak doesn’t sign a new deal, I’ll be bricking it next summer. But we are in the driving seat this year

So much so that he was sent off for losing his rag?
-
Oh aye like I say in an ideal world he'd be my first pick, but Brighton always seem to absolutely rinse other PL clubs when selling players, so it’s probably a non-starter sadly
-
Would be my first choice CB from the PL, every bit as much of a shithouse as Schar too
-
Can we not pray for both of them to take each other out?
-
Is it every gig, or just the ones at St James'
-
If they just make a public statement saying they’d keep Rory Jennings quiet for a season and fans of other clubs would happily allow them to spend another billion without complaint

James Trafford (now playing for Manchester City)

Bit of an odd comparison there, as the McLaren is surely the more expensive domestic option -
They not at risk of losing Mitchell this window? Target's on a similar level (when fit)
