  1. How does the ad tagline go again "should’ve gone to Specsavers", I mean I know this place is prone to the odd bit of hyperbole, but fuck me this is right up there.
  2. I may be in the minority I accept, but he does nothing that Schar doesn’t for us. He plays accurate long balls in behind for fast wide forwards to exploit. The big glaring issue with this at international level is that space doesn’t exist, as no international teams press and squeeze the pitch, like some PL teams do.
  3. They might do, but surely those who seemingly wish to form a European Super League must notice how the recent change to the CL format has diminished the excitement and wonder if we did this would we be slaying the Golden Goose
  4. Did autocorrectr remove the lifting?
  5. That wasn’t a loan from the owners to the club though. That was a loan between owners to maintain shareholdings. They aren’t the same thing being discussed here. As highlighted elsewhere NUFC as an entity currently have no interest free loans from owners
  6. They also ruled the onus to prove a deal is fair shouldn’t lie with the clubs themselves and that not disclosing the figures other clubs have for similar deals is in of itself anti-competitive
  7. Remember a game just over a year ago against PSG? Ring any bells? Are they just a poor, lower half PL side?
  8. I think they’ll be happy to extend it to any club that sells a metric fuck ton of merch, I think ourselves and Celtic fall into that category
  9. So an improvement of one point on last year then 🤷🏻‍♂️
  10. Erm if it were so unenforceable why have they not been legally challenged Ala Bosman then? There have been multiple high profile cases of players being refused high profile transfers etc, if it were so obviously deemed unenforceable by law then I'm pretty sure it would have already been proven so before now.
  11. A lot of high tech/High skill industries have similar circumstances. Oil and gas and Aviation regularly had really punitive bond schemes if the companies paid for training etc. it’s not as uncommon as you might think, not to the extent of footballers transfer fees no, but beyond the means of the worker involved
  12. This I have no doubt that either Keegan or SBR would’ve found a way to maximise his impact, because players who could do what he could are really few and far between
  13. Nah fuck the lipless twat, history constantly gets rewritten regarding Hatem, he was kept out of the side by Squidward who was terrified of the ball.
  14. They had big units in their own box and we didn’t have much of an aerial threat, probably the thought was to try and lure them out and create space in behind. They sadly were diligent in keeping their shape though, which meant it didn’t work
  15. Anybody would think they didn’t have 10 players in their own box almost the entire game, it’s all very well saying they’re a League 2 side is all well and good, but look at their recent clean sheet stats. They’re clearly a well drilled and organised team who tried to hang into the game as long as possible. I swear some people go on as if this isn’t typical of a lot of early cup round games every year. Remember the multiple games against Stevenage for example
  16. Is this not exactly the same role that we emplyed Elliot Anderson in against Spurs at home last season?
  17. Fuck me reading some of these comments you'd think he was up against NUFC era Danny Simpson instead of Gvardiol. I'd love to see some of you get a similar critique in your own workplaces like 🤦🏻‍♂️
  18. The rash you’re going to have after being submerged In your own piss for that duration of time, is going to be brutal
  19. Cheers for that link, Hoodie now preordered in middle aged, fat bastard size
  20. Probably because your guys weren’t following on from Mike Ashley, where it was pretty much a media blackout from the club.
  21. Whilst I agree with a lot of what has been written here, going back to the one different individual point. Imagine if you will post Keegan we had a competent DoF who instead of hiring Dalgliesh hired someone with a similar footballing perspective as Special K, which led to a slight tweak of the playing squad and style instead of a complete dismantlement, see also post SBR. Do you think we might have managed to maintain our position as a consistently top 6 side in that scenario? This is the strength of having a competent executive team above the manager, something we definitely didn’t have during the Hall/Shepherd era.
  22. By the way I’m not voting on this RTG level bollocks, because they're going to have to figure out how to work together. If they don’t it reflects poorly on both of them
  23. Odd take given the work he did at Monaco could be argued to be his best work, completely overhauling an aging squad that went on to finish high in league ahead of the traditionally successful French clubs (PSG excepted obviously)
