Steve Watson was great on commentary, agreed with pretty much everything he came out with
-
With VvD on the way down, Botman could be the best defender in the league for years to come

Going to be sad when Musk decimates Twitter as we’ll miss out on some great comedy from Villa watch

Our right-hand side is lethal. Trippier’s delivery from set pieces and open play, Bruno playing in Almiron down the right and Almiron absolutely rinsing defences with goals from distance and beating his man. When was the last time we had such a reliably potent attacking combo?
-
Did Robben warg into the body of Almiron?
-
A goal would give him confidence but hopefully coming on and making a big impact in terms of creating openings and coming so close will give him a big lift

Did we end up deciding whether Ant or Dec was our next messiah in the end? Can never remember

We’re on some crazy momentum here, win at Southampton and you have to think that 7 is the lowest we should be aiming for

More cum all over my boxers

Great time to score too

Thanks for posting that in the match thread and here, maybe see if you can squeeze it in a few more times before the end of the match

No Anderson on the bench even, shame but perhaps he’s not quite back to full fitness

Tite’s going to be loving his visit to the toon -
Even if he only comes on for twenty minutes, he’ll be up against tired legs and will put Matty Cash in a body bag

I think this will be a goal fest, 4-2 to us

Our Brazilian boys are going to be electric tomorrow

For sure, the decision was likely guided by ambition, ego and naivety. He would have had to have done something incredible to have displaced one of PSG’s stars, it was never going to happen. If he’s happy being there and soaking up the experience of being around the best player in the world, Messi and two of the other best players then that’s completely understandable. If he’s gone there genuinely believing he’s going to be starting lots of games and getting more than 20 minute sub appearances then he’s been badly misguided
-
What an absolute journeyman career for Balogun, seems to have an average of about 20-25 league appearances for ten different teams. Also, Sinclair Armstrong does not look like a player who is going to turn around the Republic of Ireland’s fortunes

Was watching the game and saw Sideshow Bob cropping up a few times on the left wing and thought, that lad’s got an excellent touch and technique. Hadn’t realised it was Mejbri and that he was out on loan, think he’ll develop into a really good player

Hope they don’t get much grief from idiot fans. Absolutely nothing wrong with highlighting the human rights abuses of Saudi Arabia
-
He’s obviously got some ego / others close to him like his agent are feeding it. As the worst decision for his development was to go somewhere where he’d get limited minutes and he went to the club with the worst potential for minutes

Didn’t the national leagues say that they’d bar teams from playing if they joined the super league?
-
Going back to the super league, If they did break away then the sport would be pretty dead on the most elite level. I don’t follow any American sports other than NBA but it’s great how there’s a draft system and the natural order changes over time. This would be a totally closed shop which would be terrible for so many different reasons. It would not only reduce the quality in the respective national leagues but it would also make the quality in the super league itself absolutely shit (knowing that there’s no relegations and the same teams are playing the same teams so regularly)

I’d be very surprised if West Ham finished seventh, not so much based on their league position so far but their performances. They don’t score a lot of goals and they’re in Europe which will start to affect them more as the season progresses
