For sure, the decision was likely guided by ambition, ego and naivety. He would have had to have done something incredible to have displaced one of PSG’s stars, it was never going to happen. Going back to the super league, If they did break away then the sport would be pretty dead on the most elite level. I don’t follow any American sports other than NBA but it’s great how there’s a draft system and the natural order changes over time. This would be a totally closed shop which would be terrible for so many different reasons. It would not only reduce the quality in the respective national leagues but it would also make the quality in the super league itself absolutely shit (knowing that there’s no relegations and the same teams are playing the same teams so regularly)

I’d be very surprised if West Ham finished seventh, not so much based on their league position so far but their performances. They don’t score a lot of goals and they’re in Europe which will start to affect them more as the season progresses

Fully deserves a new contract. In terms of his development, I’m obviously not expecting him to be the attacking force consistently that he’s been over the last five games but I hope he can maintain this part of his game where he’s confident enough to make runs, to beat his man and to play with an attacking mindset. We know his left foot is great, that’s not going to go away and the longer he keeps performing like this the more belief he’ll have to keep playing like this

Nunez is great in the air, I’ll give him that and his movement will always get him lots of chances but I absolutely despise forwards who mess up simple chances again and again and have such poor technical ability. So glad he’s not here
