You being won back round, Mole? Thought you'd ditched football
-
That points total for 2022 is absolutely absurd, when you consider what went before it. Defies belief what Howe has done to transform this club. I know we’ve had great buy-in from the owners, made some great transfers etc and it requires everyone pulling in the same direction to have this sort of success but it all comes back to one man eventually and that’s Howe
-
He’s been absolutely phenomenal so far this season, wouldn’t say it’s sad. If he has a good season here and a good World Cup then he should be allowed to piss it up in the MLS without feeling it’s a waste. He could of course continue to play for a top club for a few more years but I get it if we he wants out after this year, if only to play with less pressure on him

When Walcott scores a hattrick against you, you know you’re absolutely shit
-
You also don’t want Ronaldo starting if you want to finish top four
-
Was in the home end at the Emirates when we lost 7-3 to Arsenal in 2012/13. Was an absolutely vile experience
-
Possibly reason enough to do a welfare check
-
Was a great second half for a neutral fan
-
This ref has lubed himself up for the home team here
-
Again, I completely disagree but fair enough
-
Fair enough, I don’t disagree that he switches off energy-wise sometimes and will never have the natural pressing element to his game that Joelinton, Almiron and Longstaff have but I think he responded well and the main thing from my perspective is that he offers us something different. If he had better vision/delivery he’d be a great playmaker but there’s a lot to work with in terms of his great running with the ball, his accurate passing on the ground and his previous goal scoring form. I think he’s got the most potential in our squad currently to reach a higher level than he’s consistently shown so far
-
I reckon Willock is the most under-appreciated player in our side at the moment like. Think it’s a knock-on effect of him having lost his goal scoring form and a lot of his work not leading directly to goals, even though he’s created some great chances and is amazing when he makes his direct runs through the heart of midfield. I think his ability to run with the ball at great pace and transition us very quickly into attack isn’t matched by anyone else in the team other than ASM but Willock is more reliable in releasing the ball to teammates where ASM typically goes it alone a bit more. When he gets a goal I reckon we’ll see him go on a run of great form that will be a lot more noticeable (a la Miggy)
-
Burn doesn’t carry a great deal of ‘fret’ but he is extremely reliable positionally, great with all his defensive work and as has been mentioned, does release the ball really accurately. His passing isn’t quite Botman-level but I’ve been very impressed by that side of his game

Aye, whatever happens next, this is my happiest period being an NUFC fan since Bobby. Will always be thankful we’ve had this period where the club is completely revived and full of positivity

Criminal how Wilson has only vote like. I think he suffers from being so dependable that he’s just expected to be class and score 1 in 2. A striker in the premier league that scores 1 in 2 is so rare. I love him and he’s not even in my top three favourites

As strange as it is to say about such a great player, I always felt that Coutinho was known for individual moments of brilliance, e.g. long range shots and wonder goals than for consistently orchestrating the midfield like a Bruno does. That dates back to when he was at Liverpool too. He has the ability to be a great playmaker and shows it sometimes but a lot of the time I feel like he drifts in and out of games and always has done
-
Actually had a shot on his right foot yesterday too
-
Big Jow, followed by Bruno. Got a lot of love for Miggy too. I’m a South American fanboy
-
Steve Watson was great on commentary, agreed with pretty much everything he came out with
-
With VvD on the way down, Botman could be the best defender in the league for years to come
-
Going to be sad when Musk decimates Twitter as we’ll miss out on some great comedy from Villa watch
-
Our right-hand side is lethal. Trippier’s delivery from set pieces and open play, Bruno playing in Almiron down the right and Almiron absolutely rinsing defences with goals from distance and beating his man. When was the last time we had such a reliably potent attacking combo?
-
Did Robben warg into the body of Almiron?
-
A goal would give him confidence but hopefully coming on and making a big impact in terms of creating openings and coming so close will give him a big lift
