  1. The only thing that could derail it is the pure chaos currently oozing out of every pore at Everton. Are they for sale or not? I know Moshiri said not but that's probably because their sale value is at an all time low
  2. That season in the championship was a revelation, enjoyed it way more than many of the seasons we've battled relegation and stayed up. Wouldn't want to ever be there by choice but it was great for club unity. Dread to think what it would be like to not come instantly back up though
  3. Agreed, even accounting for ASM and Isak having a good and to the season which I think is highly likely if they're injury free, we still need a goalscoring midfielder to come in during this transfer window
  4. Didn't Tony Soprano have lots of dreams about ducks? Are you a mafia boss @joeyt ?
  5. It's all part of the transfer fun / chaos. I think journalists are fair game for the most part. If 95% of their output doesn't come off then they can take some healthy abuse on here. In reality, they're only feeding off scraps themselves as any sensible club is not going to give them much info but when they say stuff like "the deal is almost done" and then it comes to nothing they deserve to take some heat
  6. The day Shefki Kuqi put pen to paper on a contract that would not only change his life but all of ours too

    Joe Willock

I can’t remember those goals he scored to keep us up, did he put his laces through any and strike them cleanly or was it side footers etc? He’s got quite nice technique at placement but when he tries to put his foot through it, it all goes wrong
  8. My main hope for other clubs before the end of the window is that no one takes Chelsea loanees off their hands without rinsing Chelsea in the process
  9. Our recruitment puts a lot of emphasis on bringing in good characters, also if you read the article on a previous page you’d see that although he’s a rat, he’s a kind-hearted rat
  10. He out that lovely through ball on for Murphy on the left and Murphy just stared at it
  11. Think we need to give the scouts more credit seeing as they’ve done a great job
  12. He can beat you for pace, he can beat you with his dribbling quality or he can beat you by picking out and delivering a perfect pass. If his body is ready then he should start every game for us
  13. Mad money if that’s what he goes for based on this season’s showing but that’s how much you pay for a young English midfielder who plays for a PL club
  14. People rightly praise his defensive contributions but going forward he is not good enough right now. I hope he can continue to develop but he plays a box to box game. If you have someone in that role they need to provide regular goals / assists or at least threat. Apart from that quality ball to Wilson against Fulham and a lovely dinked assist last season I can’t remember him showing enough quality in attacking positions, and that’s not even accounting for the chances he misses. We can’t afford to have Joelinton, Longstaff and Willock all missing sitters every game
  15. His releasing of the ball today was perfect, chose the right times to take people on and then when to pass and his weight on the pass was much better than last season. Feel like it would be unbelievably harsh on I’m not to start him when he’s clearly in great form and is playing for the team
  16. He’s not even in the game. I know his game is often to fade out and then be super clinical but he’s barely having an impact on the game, second to every ball. Needs a rest
  17. Goalscoring midfielder / winger is a must
  18. He definitely is sadly. Perhaps he can improve but because his finishing has been so poor recently he didn’t have the confidence to try and take a shot on near the end. That’s a concern. He also skied one (I know Willock and Joelinton were also major culprits) and mislaid some simple passes in attack. I think he is improving at not holding onto the ball for too long so that’s something at least
  19. Burn’s dallying on the ball almost cost us tonight. He really doesn’t need to be doing pirouettes in our final third
  20. Thought he had some great moments as usual but also felt like he was the most wasteful with the ball he’d been since Brighton away. I think it was all of the team tonight though, we just seemed to lose our composure a lot on the ball. We were clearly trying to move it quicker than usual but it led to a lot of turnovers
  21. Was losing my head a bit when he went down and it looked like he’d picked up a knee injury. Best thing to come out of the game apart from the one goal lead is him being fine

    Joelinton

Please please just get some composure in your finishing after putting the last one away, my favourite player but skied shots from four yards just destroy you as a fan

    Nick Pope

    World class goalkeeper
  24. He’s a complete player, world class dribbler, movement, passing, understanding, technique, link-up play. Love him
  25. Genuinely love everything about his game, he’s going to be phenomenal for us
