  1. I’d be worried if I was an Everton fan, they’ve got so few goals in their side and they’re not even that solid at the back either
  2. I know Maddison is a great player but he’s pretty selfish on the ball. Not sure I want a player who wants to try and do it mostly himself
  3. This game has been full of awful finishing, save for that incredible Tielemans goal
  4. Why does this happen every single time? Do they wheel the same sculptor out?
  5. Fuck off, that is an absurd finish
  6. Everton’s defence and midfield have been completely overrun here. Tarkowski’s made several errors, I like McNeill though
  7. Big appointment, should manage to turn things around fairly easily with the players Wolves have, even accounting for their injuries. I read a great thread on Twitter the other day though about how colossally badly run Wolves is so he’ll probably have to overhaul a bunch of things
  8. It’s not just the fact they’re good positionally, good in the air and on set pieces, it’s that they’re both so good with the ball. How many teams in the PL have a player who can drive with the ball like Schar or spray passes like Botman? On top of everything else, just pure class

    Nick Pope

What causes a good goalkeeper to decline? Is it to do with decision making more than anything else? Because athleticism shouldn’t affect things until quite late on in someone’s career
  10. Not even surprising that Messi is over a point ahead of most of the best 11
  11. The championship is a great league like, there are only twenty points between top and bottom after 18 games and the bottom team have games in hand so it could be even less. There are currently 9 teams who are either already in the playoff zone or are one result away from it and a further four who are two results off it. No one’s even close to being cut adrift at the bottom. It’s exactly what a well functioning league should look like
  12. Milner going for the wife beater look to try and reinvigorate himself?
  13. Isak is going to murder opposition when he returns from injury
  14. Prefer having one set piece specialist in the side so it doesn’t get political over who takes them and create any division. Everyone knows Trippier’s dead ball delivery is way ahead of anyone else in the team and way ahead of most team’s options in the league

    Joe Willock

Good thread that, echoes a lot of what I and others have been saying about his contributions to our attack
  16. You being won back round, Mole? Thought you'd ditched football

That points total for 2022 is absolutely absurd, when you consider what went before it. Defies belief what Howe has done to transform this club. I know we’ve had great buy-in from the owners, made some great transfers etc and it requires everyone pulling in the same direction to have this sort of success but it all comes back to one man eventually and that’s Howe
  18. He’s been absolutely phenomenal so far this season, wouldn’t say it’s sad. If he has a good season here and a good World Cup then he should be allowed to piss it up in the MLS without feeling it’s a waste. He could of course continue to play for a top club for a few more years but I get it if we he wants out after this year, if only to play with less pressure on him
  19. When Walcott scores a hattrick against you, you know you’re absolutely shit

    Joelinton

    The man is too pure
  21. You also don’t want Ronaldo starting if you want to finish top four
