I agree. But think Eddie will go with one or the other. It could work, Anderson gives Maxi somebody he can trust, and Anderson can provide for Wood. Clearly Wood's strength [as developed at Burnley] is picking up scraps in the box, and he needs somebody to set up those scraps. Anderson or Isak can do that.

I don't understand it, especially with Wood struggling to get involved. First time Almiron popped up on the left he created a perfect chance that was well defended.

It wasn't half arsed, it was just half a second slow. He got there, but he didn't get there in time to do anything else. If he gets his feet in position he can flick out a toe to deflect it. I really don't thin it's a lack of effort on his part, I just think he's a little unfocused.

Trouble for me is that it's obvious to everybody that he isn't good enough for where we want to be, so what's the point in raising it every 5 minutes?

I think in the long run we'll benefit from fewer long term injuries. He's very cautious, I think this is why he puts so much stock in eveybody being on the same page. He knows everybody will be called upon.

Too early to say but we had Maxi and Trips looking uncomfortable today. Fingers crossed, because that would be our four most important players missing. I'm not prepared to concede defeat, as I'm sure Howe will work out our best opportunity to get something.
