Yeah, definitely, that's what I mean by horses for courses. IF it's a set midfield 3 and we're signing someone to compete, as Yorkie put it, then I think it'll be hard to find someone both good enough to compete with those 3 who's also willing to sign up for that. All semantics really.

I f we did bring someone in I think it'll be more horses for courses than troubling a set midfield. If it isn't going to be like that and that midfield 3 is set, then it'll be extremely difficult to sign someone who's both good enough to challenge those 3 and would also sign up for that gig. Miley really needs the game time too and has the ability to step in imo, albeit the midfield would shuffle around slightly.

Think it's not as pressing as other positions really. We have the option of Miley sitting deep and Tonali replacing Joelinton in that left 8 position. Whereas at CF and CB the drop off from Schar and Isak is gigantic.

My feeling is that Miley will step into Longstaff's role now and that we'll use this to fund someone at CB or back-up CF. Think it'll only be if we also sell Willock that we bring in another CM.
