    Marc Guehi

I mean this 11 gives anyone a game: Ramsdale Livramento — Guehi — Botman — Hall Bruno — Tonali — Joelinton Elanga — Sesko — Gordon
  2. £40m being rejected for a kid that’s barely kicked a ball - insane
  3. I’m just annoyed at how badly we have planned for this summer. Even if we have touted that Isak is not for sale, we should have been investing in the team knowing that there’s a strong chance an unhappy player could leave. I mean we should have pushed harder for Ekitike before Liverpool got involved and should already have signed Guehi. That’s £120m that we have to spend and two problems positions sorted before even thinking about Isak leaving
  4. I wonder how much Serhou Guirassy from Dortmund would cost
  5. Is it worrying? We look for value and that means we explore all options available to us. Besides, nobody can dismiss how well Pope has done for us

    Yoane Wissa

If we can’t find a replacement then I think we keep him. I really can’t see Liverpool paying the fee that we want and we won’t sell this summer unless it comes close to it. He will miss the first few games of the season and then we’ll slowly integrate him back into the team. It’s a World Cup year and he’ll want to play a part in the season. It’s also the reason why someone like Wissa is an important signing to make.
  7. I like it and I don’t know why….. Not a fan of the green colour in general, but it needs to be done for commercial reasons
  8. Same. I wouldn’t be against this as a loan with option to buy as a short term fix. We’re going to need to move on Dubravka and Vlachodimos at some stage and this allows us to do that now. Once we get a new Sporting Director in place we can start to plan for next summer and getting a long term transfer strategy in place
  9. I think the same. We need to get players in that pad out the squad and add some quality. This season is going to really hard on the squad and we need bodies, not necessarily resale value
  10. I’d love for this to happen mate, but we’d be lucky to get anywhere near that quality in given how the window has gone so far
  11. I still want Guehi here and now I’m not bothered how much we’ll pay for him
  12. That’s a £200m outlay….

We’ve got the time to integrate him into the first 11 if it gets done soon. Hopefully this is done by the weekend now

At least we know this guy can just be thrown straight in the first game of the season without having to worry about him adjusting to the Premier League
  15. You really can’t to be going on a promotional pre-season tour without one of your superstar draws, it really doesn’t make any sense does it….
  16. Eh? The lad is highly rated and the type of signing we need to keep making. We’re going to South Korea to build the brand and our profile around the world. It all helps with future spending and I’m happy that we’re making this sort of effort
  17. Same. To me, it’s more of a case that we could be ready to push for the title and big honours if we were allowed to spend a bit of money to get a head start and meet the ambitions of a player like Isak. With our ownership backing, we should never been in a position like this having to lose our best player unless we want to do that
  18. They have sold an academy player for £35m and have a lot of other players to sell too. They get Isak for £150m and Saudi gives them £50m for Nunez and Diaz goes for £60m, they can afford to do it sadly. We just have to accept we can’t compete with this sort of stuff right now
  19. I just can’t see anyone paying anywhere near what we want for him and what he’s worth. I’m more worried about him not being fit enough to start the season given how many matches he’s missing

We seem to avoid going down this route that’s why

Exactly! If we end the window with attacking options of: Isak Wissa Gordon Barnes Murphy Elanga Then I can’t really complain with the work done

I can see why you would say that, but I’m not sure. He really needs to decide where he has the best chance to play and I think that’s us

Same here. I always worry about fees we pay for players in this PSR world, but you can’t get a better ready made forward that would be ‘happy’ to be second choice

I think £30m with some add-ons gets this done. This is the type of offer you can’t turn down for a 28 year old entering the final 12 months of his contact. It’s a fair offer for a player that wants to move and they shouldn’t stand in his way
  25. Things can only get better mate
