Guest neesy111
Draw against Norwich then he must beat Sunderland. Fail to beat Sunderland then he is done. This.
Decky
What is this clown doing with our defenders in training ffs?
Yorkie
Taylor was saying before the game that training is mostly defence orientated.
mrmojorisin75
Turned out to be a good result today and some good individual performances but we are an absolute mess, honestly can't remember a worse CM situation at the club, there's just nothing there. Half decent teams will wipe the floor with that fucking mess in the middle and at the back.
Dave
More like that please. If we can't defend, let them attack. Deserves lots of credit today, would have been easy to try and keep things very tight considering the position we are in and the pressure on him. Pardew certainly would have. Guest firetotheworks
Don't like him and I think he's shit, but he now has one thing over Pardew in that we actually attempt to attack, which shouldn't need saying but does.
mrmojorisin75
Was it me or was Sissoko positioned slightly differently today? Looked like he was taking up a role between CM and the wing but actually neither and he exploited the area very well with Wijnaldum doing the same on the other side. Wonder if it was intentional by McClaren to bring him narrower to influence the play a bit more?

It might just have been because our midfield is non-existent.
Dokko
He needed that. Pressure off a little, enough to breath at least

midds
Nice to see the inter-play and link-up's between the front 5 or 6. Also nice to see the players still wanting to score that 7th goal even though we'd already notched 6 they still wanted to flood forward and attack. Still look far too brittle at the back and Colcack*/Tiote give no protection to the CBs. * this was a genuine typo but I'm leaving it in.
Ketsbaia
Just going to enjoy tonight and the momentum that'll hopefully bring. What a relief! But we were calamitous in defence and scored 100% of our shots on target. Going forward, I dunno. But we looked good today.

It might just have been because our midfield is non-existent. It brought him naturally more central when he drove with the ball and he seemed to thrive from being in those areas. As you say the CM situation is bleak so perhaps Sissoko and Wijnaldum have been told to exploit that space.
Tachikoma
The CM issue is so bad I'd rather we stuck someone like Mbabu in there over the Invisible Man.

Minhosa
This could be his biggest win he'll have as NUFC Manager. Lose this today and it was virtually curtains imho.

Gallowgate Toon
Gini and Sissoko definitely pulled in. Ayoze was working the channels a lot to compensate. Worked really nicely, in periods.

He's obviously not happy with the middle two and wanted to shake it up. I get that. I'd have dropped Colback over Anita btw but I don't think it was 'appalling' per say.
