Guest Roger Kint
I really hoped he would have just resigned, admitted he'd failed and left with a shred of respect. It's time for Charnley to show some balls. charnley didn't look like he gave the remotest fuck when the camera panned to him in crowd like, maybe it's their plan - get relegated, get rid of all the high earners during parachute payment year, bounce right back to the PL with an extremely effective cost-cutting exercise undertaken and still on the gravy train Sounds a terrible plan giving up £80m+ TV cash on a gamble we can come back up straight away
nufcjb
Well we never expected him to walk before the game did we? The general thinking was he was going to get sacked if he lost. That's what we were supposed to be waiting for right?

Jaqen
He's walked away from jobs in the past hasn't he? Must know he's not getting another gig over here after this one.

Dr.Spaceman
f***ing hell how much time does he need. Another 10 games to judge him properly. So we're relegated then.

Chris_R
The only possible way to stop up is to sack him. Immediately. Not saying we would stay up, but it's the only way to even contemplate it. The team has no direction, no passion, can't attack, we play the wrong people in the wrong positions. It's not going to get any better at all with him in charge. Not slightly. TK-421
Aye, just gotta hope Ashley is panicked enough to pull the trigger... or at leats tell his puppet to do it. His cash cow is in danger of missing out on its biggest pay-day, and even he must see that McClaren cant turn things around. Especially after letting the club spend almost £80m of the funds it'd stored up!!

ScottishMagpie
Well we never expected him to walk before the game did we? The general thinking was he was going to get sacked if he lost. That's what we were supposed to be waiting for right? To be honest I thought he would. Didn't think he would handle the pressure plus thought there was a decent man under the brolly. Guess I was wrong.
nufcjb
It's clear to see that no one thinks sticking with McClaren is any good right now. Complete change of opinions after the shambles today from that statement until the final kick off the ball. Really don't know how McClaren has any confidence to keep us up anymore. Probably even he knows it's impossible and only in for the money now.
r0cafella
Moyes would keep us up. I'd be behind his appointment but I'm not sure he'd have enough time now. Also would the players get behind it?

sbnufc
That statement from the players was possibly BS btw. Thread title is misleading There was no confirmation from the club or anyone connected that it did come from the players
