I don't think there's any chance tbh, I think that for all we're hearing from journalists about how Steve will go the board will issue him with a vote of confidence and he'll be in charge for Leicester. When the lose then fuck knows, probably just the Carver situation all over again only this time I don't think there's any chance of staying up.

I hope to fuck I'm wrong.

Problem with Benitez is I'm fairly sure he'd want more than £600k per annum.

Drop in ocean of what we stand to loose in TV money.  And besides how much we wasted on the likes of Cabella.

Maybe I'm just being stupid but I legit think we'll get Rafa like

Same here, though not quite as strongly. Have a feeling they know they've got to do something big even if it's only for 10 games.

Agreed. I think it could well be benitez for 10 games.

Guest Gomez

Surely they'd negotiate some kind of extension clause if he kept us up...

Nah 10 games with Benitez, then hire Pardew on another 8 year contract after he's been viciously hounded out of Palace.

Getting someone like him for only 10 games would be f***ing disgusting.

I genuinely think we will, we'll stay up, and they'll fuck us in the summer with a sherwood or some other cheap, passive, grateful no mark cunt.

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/650901/Steve-McClaren-limbo-Newcastle-chiefs-search-replacement-sack-edging-closer-News-Gossip

McClaren spent eight hours at the club's training ground yesterday, leaving just after 4pm following a meeting with his own backroom staff.

But he has been isolated by Charnley and his fellow directors who met in York on Monday without him.

All efforts to seek clarification on his own position have failed.

McClaren has received no assurances nor has he been told he is holding the fort until a new man comes in, but he is under no illusions about the situation.

The 54-year-old will be back at the club's Benton training headquarters today and has told pals he is preparing for Monday's daunting trip to title-chasing Leicester even though he doubts he will be in the visitors' dug-out on the night.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is abroad on Sports Direct business and has played no part in the current decision-making process.

He has given Charnley total authority to decide McClaren's fate and to decide who is best equipped to come in and keep Newcastle in the Premier League.
