EthiGeordie
I hate the Fat Sam but he has a point there. Ashley set us up to be mid table team and thats how others see us.
Deuce
"Mid-table team" is generous considering the way we've played of late.
Teasy
Shame Pardew didn't have a quality young central defender, a winger full of flair and a number 10 with a good passing range to push us up from a mid table team to something more. Unfortunately the limited resources meant we could never have the likes of Yanga-Mbiwa, Hatem Ben Arfa and Sylvain Marveaux eh big sam?... you clueless cunt. Dr.Spaceman
I don't get it, the bloke's a fucking hypocrite. I can guarantee he tries to make West Ham a better club, year on year. We haven't had anyone trying to make NUFC a better club for a far too long.
Teasy
Fat headed charlatan is just getting his excuses in early. Knows West Ham are over performing and he'll never sustain it unless they give him even more to spend. Next season he can reference this interview as an example of the problems he's having with unreasonable expectations at West Ham if the owners haven't spent another pile of cash on more new players. Don't think they're over achieving. They're 8th. Strong defence. Some ability and guile in midfield. Good attacking options. Some decent depth too. they should be closer to Spurs imo. Sakho and Kouyate look very good signings. Amalfitano with that bit of magic off the bench.
Teasy
Don't think they have the quality or depth Tottenham have. They do have some quality (though first season for some of them so wait and see) but my point was more about the manager. IMO he's overachieving to get them in that kind of position, that's not to say a better manager shouldn't have them there or there abouts, but he's a shit Footballing dinosuar so I don't see him continuing it. midds
Could easily see West Ham parting company with this fat wanker and Poyet leaving Sunderland this summer. This will be followed by Sunderland hiring Allardyce and Poyet going to West Ham.

This will be followed by Sunderland hiring Allardyce and Poyet going to West Ham. What with Gustavo's bairn being a Wham player and Fathead being an ex-mackem who tried to get us relegated? I can't imagine a world in which that would happen! Oh, hang on, I can. Carry on.
TRon
Sam must still be gutted to have seen the same players he left behind transformed into a fluid passing team by naive Kevin Keegan. At least he's having some Pardew-esque style success this season now the owner's are buying the players for him.
Guest Howaythetoon
He is bitter and knows he fucked up his one chance to shape his own career away from the Fat Sam or Big Sam brand. He's a decent enough manager and coach, but the Toon job was too big. Mind had FS remained in control, he would have lasted a lot longer and probably would have stabilised things and given us a top 8 club. The football would have been dour though, as we all know. He's perfect for a Blackburn or. Bolton, small provincial clubs with meagre resources and clout, where he can not only keep them up but get them competitive. West Ham are a level above the likes of Bolton and always will be, however, in the current climate, they are always going to be a mid-table type club so in many ways Big Sam ticks the boxes basically. Guest
Was just thinking there, that the irony is Ashley's ideal manager is the one he got rid of in the first place. Happy to potter about in mid-table without the danger of a relegation scrap or getting into Europe, apart from a blip in 2004, can't really remember him threatening any of the cup competitions, can shop around the bargain basement while still being able to handle the occasional maverick. Bet Ashley sees sacking him for Keegan and briefly raising hopes & expectations as one of his biggest cock-ups.
