Nicky
Don't forget as well that Ashley is well known for preferring very informal meetings and the like (turning up to AGMs in jeans and t-shirt and that) - he may have preferred to keep the solicitors out of the way. But would Keegan? I highly doubt it.
Dave
Seriously chaps, I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. It'll hurt when nothing comes of it.
Nicky
Not sure how reliable the Telegraph are, but; "Keegan is understood to have been offered the chance to return to the manager's job at St James' Park when the pair met to clear the air for the first time since Keegan resigned, at the offices of a law firm in the capital. Their appearance together immediately fuelled speculation that a dramatic reunion was on the cards. As a result bookmakers William Hill installed Keegan as favourite over Gus Poyet to take the helm again and have temporarily suspended betting following a flurry of activity. While sources close to Ashley confirmed that the duo were meeting, they were initially unable to clarify whether it was to discuss compensation or reconciliation, but later it transpired that Keegan – the 'Geordie Messiah' – was on the verge of returning to Tyneside for a third time as manager. BlueStar
Two things Firstly, Keegan coming back would be fucking stupid, but this entire fucking thing has been stupid from start to finish and I'd grab a KK return with both hands at the moment simply because some of the alternatives are too horrible to contemplate, which is not surprising seeing as how unattractive we are to managers currently. Even if he doesn't last, I presume his return would mean we've abandoned The System, which would make life easier for the next manager. Secondly, can even the most dedicated KK lovers not get their hopes massively up, like we did when co.uk announced "Keegan not sacked". Or if you do get your hopes up, keep them to yourself rather than crowing to Sky and Mackem mates who've been ripping the piss out of you for the past week. Skirge
Very worried about tomorrow is Mr Ashley, but it will be a true miracle if he gets KK to agree to come back. Suppose at least KK turned up, so he must be open to talks. Both men have now left non of them said a single thing to the press..

Decky
Maybe KK has seen the reaction of the fans and wants to return, for our sake as he loves the club and its supporters. Ashley never wanted rid of him so maybe they have come together to sort it out. If anything this is brilliant for us, Ashley wont want another walk out, so KK might actually get properly backed this time round.
