We were a bit lucky to nick it at the end, but that makes up for the bad luck we've had previously with last minute equalisers. Bad miss by Owen. He's got no left foot at all. If you're paying 80k a week for a specialist poacher, you have to be able to rely on him to put those away. Bassong looks very assured for a young centre back. Ronaldo Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 just got back, we were poor for most part in the second half but who gives a bollocks Given - dealt with everything thrown at him, cool as you like 8 Beye - best performance of the season from him, great defensively 8.5 Coloccini - decent, played it out of defence well 7 Bassong - cant give him owt else, flawless 10 Enrique - struggled first 10 minutes and his touch can be poor but wrapped Lennon up the ugly way 8 Jonas - defended and scrapped well, needs to get forward a lot more 7.5 Butt - game bypassed him for the most part, but did well on the ball 7 Guthrie - like him a lot but wasteful today, battled hard as usual 6.5 N'zogbia - constant threat, on any other day he'd be motm, f*** all the idiots who played him LB 9 Owen - static, not involved much, wasted little in possession though 6 Shola - christ he was shitter than normal, poor 30 mins 4 Viduka - not fit, static, lack poise, get the ball to him and he's still dangerous though 6.5 Duff - my word, fair play to him 7 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Could have gone either way, but I think we deserved it based on our second half posession and will to win. Owen should have scored earlier too but snatched at with his left. I know that we're far from being world beaters and we're almost always underachieving or in some sort of controversial mess, but we've got some class players at this club. Spurs haven't beat us at SJP in the league for years now and yet they talk as if we're Tranmere or something. This isn't exclusive to the Spuds either. I always try to go into games against any opponent with an unclouded view, but it's almost as if we're universally seen as a nothing club that's good for 3 points. Works both ways, can you imagine the reaction being half as bad on here had someone headed that Stoke freekick away in the last minute? I stopped absolutely dead when that happened though, the commentary on my stream was about 2 seconds ahead of the picture and it's fair to say i nearly shit myself.
