Those 14 years have absolutely screwed us, even with the huge increase from us, we're still miles off now. It's why it's an absolute sham that we have to reduce deals (Sela for example) due to it not being market value. They're basing it on over 10 years where the owner didn't try for the best deals. Should be able to take things like this into consideration.

Yes, but I think we see players and managers changing clubs all the time, so there’s nothing particularly unusual about it.

Those rules were brought in to stop us, there's no way anything will be taken into consideration if it benefits our attempt to close the gap. Though I agree in principle.

I miss her. Her and Mehrdad were fantastic for this club and we've lacked that unity since they've gone. She's a great business women if she has the trust of essentially nations in the Middle East - as a Western women too. I assume she probably pocketed north of about £50M for her shares and 10% at our club?

I don’t think she would have ran Spurs though. She would have been a silent partner at most. I think she would have got a similar deal as she got with us, she gets 10% or so as her fee for forming the consortium.

She’s even came out and said that her health means she’ll have to stop working soon, and that she probably only has 20 years to live.

I think right now she is trying to set herself up so Mehdrad, and her son never have to work again. I mean they are very likely in that scenario in anyway, but owning a part of a Premier League club would be like having a massive wage each year.

As Danny Kelly has just said on Talksport the Americans are getting very close to owning 14 clubs which is a lot more threatening to the EPL than the likes of us.

Apparently NFL owners are close to making a bid for Spurs, Jerry Jones was rumoured to be late last year/early this year.

I will say the top 6 have no reason to vote for a closed shop or similar rules.  They are never getting relegated.

A closed shop will end up with more Americanism though. The Premier League will sell merchandise directly to fans like the NFL does, possibly tickets as well. Other clubs can ramp up their merchandise, because even though they are not going to win the league, they will always be there, so fans can support them with a safety net.

We’ll get the games in different countries, and move to a direct to consumer TV model.

The smaller teams will invest in better players because as we had established, the safety net is there, then merchandise and TV income will sky rocket on the back of it.
