ENIC own 85% or so, and Levy owns 30% of that 85%. Something like that. No idea what that means going forward. The rumour was that Qatar were interested but put off by Levy wanting to stay as Chairman or CEO or whatever, but Stifler told me Qatar weren’t interested at all so it must be something else.

I can’t see Qatar dropping PSG for Spurs, or running the risk of having to pick one of them to drop out of the Champions League in future seasons by having both clubs.

Could a Qatari consortium or businessman buy them? Yes.

Will the Qatari state by them? I’d highly doubt it.

Hopefully its the humiliation at the irony of being out-cartelled by Arsenal over Eze.

Strange unplanned timing for something like maybe feeling he's peaked with the Europa League win or not feeling appreciated despite it or whatever.  Summer before the window was the time for that.

That's mental considering he owns so much of it

Still only 25% of the club though - a voice at the table but no real authority if whoever is pulling the Lewis Family strings wants to swing their weight.

The only shock I have is that it took this long - great on the commercial arm, but the football side has been a mess since he forced Poch out considering the amount they've spunked on transfers that never panned out, high profile managers cycled through every 18 months and the fan unrest.

Guess they wanted him to take the fall for sacking Ange and this season before giving the next regime a "clean slate".

I don't have an Athletic subscription anymore. Who owns the majority of shares?

Quote

The Lewis Family Trust owns 70.12% of Enic, the company that holds 86.91% of the shares in Spurs. Levy and certain members of his family own the other 29.88% of Enic. Lewis has two children, Vivienne and Charles, and the family’s interest at Spurs is being looked after by two trustees.

The Lewis family is definitely stepping in, but nothing to do with Ange or “taking the fall for sacking”’ him. He’s more likely to take praise for that.

Seems likely a particular Lewis or two decided Levy’s taken us as far as he can. The question is whether they’re going to put in some money themselves or look to sell. Still an open question.

The report I read in the Times said that the Lewis family have no intention of selling.

Levy has delivered a magnificent stadium and, as far as I know, given them financial stability. The supporters seem to have turned against him for the usual reason that supporters turn against a regime - results on the pitch.

There's talk a Saudi consortium might be interested. Whether that's a private consortium or government backed, I don't know. Not sure where that would leave us if it happened.

Be a few hoping we're forced into a sale to some nice, white, western owners.

What's spurs club value nowadays?

With Chelsea been around four billion and man utds six billion.

At a guess, I’d have to say currently about £3bn-£4bn, possibly £5bn at the upper end of the market.

They have the stadium, location, a team that should be up there, and the revenue.

The Saudi’s got us at an excellent price to be fair. Give it 10 years, a new stadium, and I think that we will be worth £10bn.

I'm not going to praise the cunt, he is/was one of the major players in keeping PSR, and absolutely wanted our buy out blocked.

He's a grade A tosser.

Levy was also part of the Super League concept, albeit a minor part apparently.

Makes me think Mandy was more its just about business/getting her cut than wanting to be involved in NUFC

Or maybe shes skint after the law suit

That’s her job though, it’s what she does.

Like questioning a player for signing for someone else after leaving us.

It's not like she's ever claimed to be a Newcastle loyalist tbf. She was involved in City's takeover and an attempted takeover of Liverpool before she was involved in ours. There's no doubting her sincerity while involved in running our club.
