Problem is they've built everything on the sale of Bale and Modric...and those are looking a looong time ago now. Who's their star they can now sell for a shit tonne to rebuild with?

They spent the Kane money?

They are getting the equivalent of a Bale every season from their new matchday revenue and their commercial growth is like a Kane every year.

Most likely, but got to remember they're spending a hell of a lot more too....champions league wages aren't something you can dig out fishing down the back of the sofa

Well in that case it's their own fault for not signing better players/managers. F**k them

They have some good young players, Gray, Bergvall, Moore. They could be those players. Will take time for them to reach those heights, but they look promising. Might even be able to keep them with the revenue they bring in from that stadium.

All jokes aside, they've qualified for Europe most seasons in the last 15 years. They want Levy out because of one calamity season?

I've heard fans can be fickle.

I think it is because they have so much headroom with PSR, could buy loads of players and pay better wages and he chooses not to.

Loads of Spurs mates and they’ve said for a good while he is like a richer version of Ashley.

Isn’t their wages to turnover ratio like 46% or something mental like that this season?

EDIT: Levy out isn’t new. They’ve disliked/hated him for quite some time and always rears it’s head before Levy then sacks another manager. Before maybe spending a few quid to quiet the fans down

Levy will not sack the manager until the window is closed... Saves backing the new manager with funds!

They also have a really exciting 17 year old center back Luka Vuskovic out on loan whos scored 6 goals in 22 games in the Belgian top division.

Well, they actually believe they're part of the Big Six.

Don’t Spurs have the most expensive ticket prices in the league too?

I kinda feel like when we had Ashley a lot of folk claimed he wasn't that bad (who didn't support us) and now that he's fucked off and their own clubs aren't winning things they reference their own clubs as their own respective versions of "Ashley".

I mean, forgive my ignorance in advance, but how is Levy like Ashley?

They've built a whole new fucking state of the art stadium and invested in the club? Alright their wages to turnover might be shite or whatever, but they're paying for a brand new stadium. They may have not recruited well, but in essence that is not the same as Ashley. Man United are being stripped apart. Fucking Geoff and Janet the cleaners are losing their jobs that is more Ashley-esque but even Man United have spunked millions on shite managers and players and slowly driven themselves down to where their assets no longer outweigh their debt and the lack of Europe could be crippling.

But neither are anywhere near as bad as Ashley was for NUFC. We had like nothing, no opportunity for revenue, no expenditure on players, just a 1 in 1 out pound for pound-hope that you can shake things up mentality that gambled the clubs existence on odd bits of quality. They've both mismanaged their respective clubs and that is the only thing remotely like our levels of Ashley.

Perhaps I need to educate myself. I don't know.

Spot on

the worst thing Ashley didn’t even seem to care about making money eithet, through the club. So there was literally no point to anything.

NUFC just existed to promote sports direct

Is it not more Levy is like Charnley? Ashley's equivalent would be Joe Lewis.

I saw references to Bale and Modric, I think that model's now dead as there just isn't the funds out there and PSR; no one is paying that money anymore.

Aye, there is a lot of rewriting of history going on.

Just yesterday someone on Reddit was saying that the Glazers ownership has to go down as the single greatest heist in history. That’s despite the fact that how they bought the club is both legal, and common practice within the business world.

I responded that Bury had an owner that sent them out of business, Wigan had an owner who bought them to win a bet that they would be relegated, Bolton had an owner who was minutes away from sending them out of business, and Blackpool had a convicted rapist own them who was taking money out of the club.

The Glazers ownership of Man Utd isn’t even the worst football ownership on Lancaster or even Greater Manchester.

As for Spurs. I’m pretty sure if Enic and Levy had bought us, build us a new stadium like theirs that also hosted things like the NFL, and concerts, had us regularly in Europe (including the Champions League), won a League Cup, got to the final of the Champions League, and other League Cups, then our fans would have been very fucking happy.
