joeyt
Hope we get Nolan in quick, the following team would have a chance Harper Taylor Bassong Colocini Enrique Jonas Lovenkrands Nolan Zog Carroll Duff (or if Zog aint fit, bring Butt into CM with Duff LW and Lov up front) Lovenkrands CM? Not sure about that. Is that opera singer singing this year?

wyn davies
well I think defeat maybe on the cards,Jones will be nowt but trouble and perhaps it will be the only way to finally wake those in charge up at the club, not looking foreward to this at all. The Prophet
Think I'd go with: ---------------------------------------------Harper--------------------------------------------- Taylor--------------------Bassong--------------------Coloccini--------------------Enrique Jonas-------------------------Butt------------------------Nolan-------------------------Duff --------------------------Carroll-----------------------------Lovenkrands-------------------- It's all about balance I'm not a massive fan of Taylor at right back but we really have no other option unless we bring a new body in on time. Providing Nolan plays himself and Butt are both combative. They have the potential to strike a nice balance with Butt's defensive attributes and Nolan's attacking attributes working in tandem. Unfortunately they both have the potential to have absolute shockers, let’s hope they have a good day. Again not a fan of Jonas on the right but we need balance and he's the only one who's fit an knows the position. The only thing I can think of is to switch him and Duff during the game. Not only will this give the full backs something to think about but Duff used to play a little on the right wing at Chelsea. I think Carroll will be up for this one. He's surprised me the last couple of games and long may it continues. I think Lovenkrands could be absolutely key up front. He's quick and hopefully will play off Carroll. If both played up front they both cause completely different threats and could be quite a handful.
Guest Darth Toon
IF we can get Nolan in and Martins out there, this team would have a chance: Harper Taylor - Coloccini - Bassong - Enrique Duff - Nolan - Butt - Jonas Martins - Carroll

Yorkie
Two new players on the teamsheet on Saturday would see us with a much bigger chance of winning the game imo.

ElDiablo
If Nolan signs in time it might be an idea to play 5 in midfield in this with Duff, Jonas and Nolan being told to get forward and support Carroll with Geremi and Butt behind, would rather that than 442 as Butt is woeful in that formation. Mark Viduka could be on the bench, Alan Smith made his comeback in the reserves on Tuesday and Shola Ameobi is expected to resume full training today.
