It was the first concrete thing he did to show that he might have finally done what he's been saying he's done for ages - grown up. Indeed. Thought it was really significant too. Some coins were chucked from the West Ham fans behind the goal (You can see them if you look carefully), light heartedly did a little "calm down" gesture and got on with the corner kick.
