Saw this article about AFC Wimbledon's manager and his view on the way clubs are run, might interest some

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/03/terry-burton-afc-wimbledon

Say's he doesn't think they can progress much further than league 1 as they aren't prepared to go into debt and run the club at a loss.

Fat Mike has obviously his selfish reason's behind his dealings with our clubs cash, but could well benefit the club in  the long run, especially if some kind of regulations & point deductions come into play in regards to clubs debts, which personally I think could eventually happen. Point's deducted for clubs running at a loss after a 5 year period and a wage cap.... idea's needed to be put out there to save the game from being crippled by money.

curious events at Leeds, as the BBC have been banned from there (barring what Leeds have to do) because of a tv documentary being made on their ownership (something which the Guardian got itself banned from there due to asking similar questions)

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/05/bbc-legal-dispute-leeds-united

Bates has ranting more and more at people questioning the situation there and you have to wonder why, if theres nothing to hide why not answer the questions

There is literally nothing to like about Leeds United.

Just reading through Championship match reports and saw this:

Pompey were only able to name four substitutes, with 17-year-old Ryan Williams - the brother of Middlesbrough goalscorer Rhys - and veterans Kanu and Christian Dailly all being introduced after the break.

"We've just about got a team, putting a 17-year-old on the bench and Christian Dailly, who we signed on Friday,'' explained Cotterill.

"Otherwise we would have only had a keeper and Kanu as subs. But the subs came on and played their part. Without them we wouldn't have got the result we did.''

Good lord - depressing really. The fact that Kanu was one of the subs made me chuckle though.
