I think a lot of the same principles apply. If you've got money to give out you have a responsibility to ensure it gets used as well as it can.

Don't disagree that there could've been more comms/collaboration/member involvement.

You're right and it's obvious the Trust don't have the experience to  do due diligence on the various charities. The obvious solution is to give the money to the Community Foundation who specialise in helping charities in the region.

I don’t like this pot idea at all.

What should being a member in the 2021-22 season have to do with 2022-23?

Where do you stop with previous season ticket holders? I, like many, gave up my ST years ago because of Ashley. I’d be pretty annoyed if a one off member for one season got priority over me who had a season ticket for nigh on 2 decades and travelled the country at away games. There is no record of me doing this as the club changed systems in 2018.

The only fair way is general sale. And imo I think it should be in person.

What a load of utter shite that pot system is.

Current season tickets holders getting 25% of new STs…The people who already have tickets? Fuck me.

Even the pot which directly benefits my position (purchase history pot) is problematic; how many purchases to qualify? Does more purchases equal a higher chance?

Free for all is the only fair way. Online ballot. Maybe put x% at the box office and let people camp out for them.

And they need to sack the proof reader.

The additional ST for current ST holders doesn’t sit right with me at all. Like been said before - why should someone get a season ticket just because they happen to be a mate/related to a current ST holder?

I think the free for all is the best option, possibly with a small number aside for 21/22 members.

The other option is to just not offer new season tickets until demand can be met (ie expanded stadium etc) and just continue with the match to match sales of over 10k tickets

Shame to see Greg step aside but been replaced by someone really good in Tom Concannon

The only shame is that he's remaining on the board, let's be honest. Not a surprise though.

Thomas is a good lad, hopefully will be allowed to run it as a chairman should be.

Certain individuals and their influence within the Trust are a negative influence in my experience and opinion . However, Greg is not one of those.

Those within it who allow that to happen are just as much of a problem. If they weren't mate, you'd still be involved. As I say hopefully Thomas is a change for the better.

Aye, he needs likeminded people to be voted on the board and whom have a longer temperament than I. Otherwise I can see the same influences being rife.

Is it actually true that he is a Tory? In which case I don’t really want anything to do with them while we have a fucking foodbank outside of our stadium.

From his interview with the FT : ‘A Conservative supporter even before December’s election landslide, he wants the government to bring in measures including business rates exemption to boost activity in struggling town centres like Blyth.’

Yep never seen Alex or Charlotte at any away game pre 2018.

I have no real opinion on the bloke, but a scroll back through his social media suggests this to be total bollocks…

I don’t do social media but if you’re telling me that then 2 went to away games 5 year ago fair play.

I know most away travellers and I didn’t see them years ago which makes me question how they get tickets.

the fact TF says the arsenal game was best home game fir atmosphere ever tells you what you need to know (but I accept I’m an owld fart and an inverse snob).

but where’s the cash ? My cash your cash ? They’re power hungry Jonny come lately egg chasing wankers

yes I’m bitter . I’ll buy him a pint at our next European away game (probably his first )
