Always got the impression Shearer didn’t particularly like Robert which is a bit mad given he’d probably not have had a second stab at CL football or beat Milburn’s record without him.

Ian Harte must have a decent record as well if assists from set-pieces are counted.

He had a magic left foot, Harte. Would love to see him try and play against the pace of a modern day winger though  Beckham used to look like Mbappe against him.

And lest we forget him being outpaced by Solano of all people for the winner down Elland Road!

Professionals not liking each other is nothing unusual.

Shearer obviously recognised his importance otherwise he wouldn't have pleaded with Souness not to drop him for an important European game (Lisbon I think).

Didn’t Robert have the highest percentage of free kicks scored in PL history? Just Shearer being Shearer - pretty much all about himself unfortunately. Surprised Bruce didn’t make his list.

Seen him having plenty sly digs over the last few days about the Spurs game. He's definitely got something against howe. Never said fuck all about his pal Bruce

Cant stand listening to him 99% of the time tbh

Hardly sly digs, we were fucking terrible against spurs.

Shearer is good. Don't agree with everything, and he obviously gets on better with some people than others, but he seems like a good guy. I like that he rates Scholes so highly.

Good to have a club legend who isn't an embarrassment like Le Tissier.

That would be fine if he'd gave Howe any credit at all for that unbelievable run we were on when we were all but doomed

Shearer's got his biases like we all do.

Not gonna slate his mate in Bruce either. Preferred to slate the performances. Still a legend.

As a footballer he will always be a legend. As a pundit he can get tae fuck. Nobody dreams of being a pundit.
