Thought this was worth posting. In relation to Salah and Klopp, Shearer talks about the end of his time with Robson. Never really seen him reflect on his behaviour in that time e.g. the Valerenga match the season before Robson was sacked. I remember that being especially destabilising.

To be honest, in this article he still doesn't seem to really grapple with the rights and wrongs of it, given the context of his stature at the club back then as Mr NUFC, which he'd never shied away from.

strange one.

loved his goals and cheered like a bastard whenever he scored.

just never really loved him like Mac, Varadi, Keegan, Goddard, Quinny, Peacock, . Carroll, Ba etc.

was just something about him I wasnt sure about.

Loved him as a player. Think he's a bellend on the telly

Went off him when he refused to say a bad word about Bruce. He was also one of the people who suggested to the owners we give Bruce the spurs game as it was his 1000th game.

Did he like Steve Bruce?

It's honestly one of football's great mysteries to me how everyone in the game when talking about him goes on about what a smashing bloke he is (granted Shearer's his mate). He's never come across to me as anything but a complete tosser, even before we had the pleasure of him in the dugout.
