I really don't think I can support a team managed by this c***.

My interest in the national side, was already at an all time low.  Then we went and appointed Allardyce  :anguish:

Just sit back and watch a 0-0 with Estonia.  Then listen to Sam come out and say we were forced into nullifying their threat. popcorntastic.

Brings back memories.  After one particularly awful game.  I believe he said on Setanta, something along the lines of "well we dominated territory and possession today."  I think he may have even mentioned prozone or opta?  Some stats company, to try and prove his point.

Yet we lost 1-0 to one of the worst sides in Premier League history and created fuck all.  In fact, Derby took 4 points off us that season

:pilko:

4 points in a season where their total was 11 iirc :yao:

I keep hearing him claim all the credit for Defoe's form last season.  I may well be wrong with this but my impression was that he did not play Defoe until he had no other option and then Defoe just kept scoring so he couldn't leave him out.  I seem to remember Sunderland fans phoning up Total Sport not understanding why he wouldn't play Defoe when he was their best striker.

This cunt.

When questioned about not winning anything in his career he blamed it on never having a chance at managing the top clubs, and said never having been relegated [sic] was an achievement.

Except he has been relegated.  Why do the press never call people out on this bullshit?

I still think he's the right appointment, I just hope he gets the right reaction from the players.

How can you think hiring a shit manager is the right appointment?

I'm prepared to see how it goes. The lack of experience at the top end of the league and European football means he wouldn't have been my choice, but the England job has defeated much more glamorous candidates like Capello and Eriksson. Allardyce will be something different.

I was pleased to hear him say he was looking for players who were flexible in the roles they can play. That was a problem this summer, with players like Sterling and Sturridge unable to adapt to what was going on around them.
