Tooj
Do we have any young centre backs at the club - in the reserves or owt? Streete and Good are the two you hear talked about most. Not sure if Streete's over his injury problems or not though.

Disco
would prefer to see tav get a run now. I assume you have forgotten his being torn apart by Jobi McAnuff in his last PL appearance of note. Yet again our lack of purchasing a centre back is contributing to us losing points, of all the things at NUFC I think this frustrates me more than anything, it's fucking shameful, this is the 3rd season we've needed another centre back that is capable of playing a decent quantity of first team FFS and nowt has been done. Players, young players in particular, need regular football to improve. He's got the athleticism and potential to improve.
Wullie
You put young players in when things are ok, when you're keeping the ball and scoring goals so that they're not under so much pressure. You don't throw them in to save your skin in the Premier League. Sammy and Ferguson have had dog's abuse on here since the weekend when just a fortnight ago, they were going to save us from the horrors of Jonas. ExiledGeordie
The fact that we're still relying on him in central defence makes a complete mockery of the ambition of the board. It's one of the single biggest indicators that they're just not interested in genuine progression indicative of an ex casino owner spouting football nonsense about "purple players" ad nausem

Sammy, Ferguson and Tav should be out on loan in the Championship ironing out these mistakes that come from being young/inexperienced in an ideal world but there is little chance of that happening given the piss weak nature of the squad. Ronaldo
Enough's enough now like; God as my witness I'm not going to another game until we've bought another CB. The club are laughing at all of us wheeling this donkey out game after game.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
sick of this twat. In an ideal world we'd actually sign two centre halves so we can get rid of this clown completely.
captainhaircut
His defensive headers ALWAYS go into dangerous areas. It's like he's trying to head it to the oppositions attacking players. It's amazing because when he's attacking, he heads it miles away from our players. He is just crap though. He's not a sackless twat as well like Simpson. Sifu
It's looking like the case that once the team goes to shit (ie. a dip in confidence), he does too...
Guest
He's like Andy O'Brien without the goal threat. There's times he's sound and looks like he can do a job, then other times looks like a League Two defender.
Disco
Player bought for being back up in the Championship in struggling to be a regular in PL team shocker. As I've said before nothing annoys me more as an NUFC fan in recent times is our lack of buying a centre back and persisting with this dud.
Ronaldo
It's looking like the case that once the team goes to s*** (ie. a dip in confidence), he does too... His presence cripples the whole team to an extent.
alexf
Only just watched match of the day today and my god he was all over the place. Just running in any general direction the ball was and getting no where near it due to his chronic lack of mobility. So then he is out of position and running desperately to get back into formation, not having a clue what is going on. Guy is having a shocking time at the moment. Yorkie
That body-check late in the first half just summed him up really. He's got absolutely zero skill or panache as a defender; a clogger in every sense. He's a nice guy and has served a purpose for us - but it really is tragic that we're still relying on him. Absolutely scandalous that this wasn't addressed in the summer, knowing full well how injury prone Taylor is. Never mind improving the back-up, we should have spent money on a long-term partner for Coloccini, and relegated Taylor and Williamson to 3rd and 4th choice. Both are equally unreliable. Thing is even going into this season he was 3rd/4th choice (perch?) but we all knew in reality he was likely to play more games than anyone else and it's fucking tragic.
