Guest frazernufc
A very nice signing and adds some pace to the team
Ritchie
Any news on the fee? Around £2m being touted. Boro made a £1.5m offer last week apparently. Not bad that.
afar
Well I hope he's a little more succesful here than the last Wayne, we signed to play right wing from QPR.

cosmic
Well I hope he's a little more succesful here than the last Wayne, we signed to played right wing from QPR. Wayne Fereday was a legend in his own lifetime

I think I did too, I remember this old boy shouting at him all game to "pin his ears back, and run like the wind, son".
Incognito
He wasn't averse to having his ears pinned back according to some.
Yorkie
It'd be daft to drop Lovenkrands. Routledge adds to the pace we've got in the side.
Leazes1986
Routledge, Jonas and Lovenkrands should be the first names on the teamsheet when it comes to the front 6 as far as I'm concerned.
cubaricho
Routledge, Jonas and Lovenkrands should be the first names on the teamsheet when it comes to the front 6 as far as I'm concerned. Totally agree. We need as much pace as possible in our side.
junkhead
Happy. Obviously not the greatest player, but he's a good, pacey dribbler.. We rely exclusively on the left side for quick attacking moves and Routledge should add more balance to our attacking play.. Good luck Wayne

Yorkie
Gah. So pleased with this signing. Totally didn't expect a right-winger with Guthrie, Taylor and Pancrate (aswell as Barton soon) all available. This is exactly what we needed; i can remember a few peeps in the transfer thread citing Routledge as ideal and he is really.
eddco
Can the lad cross a decent ball?
The Prophet
Can the lad cross a decent ball? That's probably his main weakness, his end product is inconsistent.
Guest palnese
The Aaron Lennon of the CCC then.
PCW1983
Can the lad cross a decent ball? That's probably his main weakness, his end product is inconsistant. Sounds like Aaron Lennon tbf
cp40
Can the lad cross a decent ball? That's probably his main weakness, his end product is inconsistent. that why hes joined us then. we have a tradition of such players.
Dokko
Can the lad cross a decent ball? That's probably his main weakness, his end product is inconsistent. No different than Jonas but on a half the wage and a quarter of the outlay.
Ameritoon
I haven't been this happy about a signing in a while. Came out of absolute nowhere.

junkhead
Can the lad get back and help out the RB when the need arises or is he poor defensively? well, he's a rather lightweight pacey winger.. I doubt he'd offer us more defensively
Doctor Zaius
Happy with this. He's a good right winger with pace. One of the best players if not the best I've seen at SJP this season, he was quality against us. He's 25 and never proved himself in the prem with Spurs, Pompey or Villa. I think he's got the talent and ability, hopefully he'll prove that he can do it at the highest level. Reltively pleased with this.
