Guest
Doing my usual random look round the French and Spanish sites I found this from Thursday... http://www.futbolmercado.es/los-2-futbolistas-de-la-liga-que_article19712.html Cadena Ser (Spanish radio station) says we're looking at buying Juan Albin from Getafe, and Pablo Hernandez from Valencia. Jordan
Who can replace Nicky Butt? Another ginger of course. Davide Biondini from Cagliari http://www.corrieredellosport.it/images/Articolo/13i/C_2_Articolo_70693_paragrafi_paragrafo_0_testoParagrafo_1.jpg looks like bradley out of eastenders
Disco
Watched quite alot of the South American qualifiers for the World Cup before and when the world cup comes around watch out for a Chilean player called Gary Medel (not a very Spanish sounding name I know ). He`s a defensive midfielder (though can play in defence too) for Boca Juniors and would be a very good buy IMO. Incidentally also named `The Pitbull` ala wor Jose. Might be available for a reasonable price. Matias Fernandez (playmaker) is another one. Hugely skilful on the ball. Was mainly a sub at Villarreal but doing well for Sporting Lisbon now so might be out of our price range (not that I expect us to be interested anyway). I`m guessing though Hughton will be targeting British players/players with Prem League experience which is fair enough in a way but hope we don`t dismiss buying a few young talented players from abroad. That Tosic who Pompey got on a Free on around £750 a week in January hasn't been allowed to play for them so he's been released. Training with Swansea, is a centre-back. Might as well try and hijack that until the end of the season. Thought that too. Strange why there hasn`t been more interest in him considering he`s a Serbian International and on a free now. Good player Gary Medel, keeps things simple/ticking over in the middle of the park. Scored a decent goal when i went to watch Boca in December. Scored a decent goal when i went to watch Boca in December. would love to make it to the Boca Junior`s stadium La Bombanera someday. Must have been quite an atmosphere when you went? the fans look fanatical judging by what I`ve seen on TV here and there.

Considering it was a pretty much nothing game i went to (home to Gimnasia LP), the atmosphere was unreal, just constant noise pre/during/post match. Was only about 5er in n all. STM
Kevin Doyle would be great foil for Andy Carroll next season. Grafts for the full 90 and rarely gives the ball away, tore Aston Villa (who have the best defence in the league i think) apart at times yesterday. The sort of player who bring our midfield players like Routledge and Jonas into the game from more advanced positions, instead of having to run at the opposition from the half way line all the time. He's also a very good header of the ball which would add to our, already good, aerial threat.
colinmk
Still reckon we should go for Steven Fletcher now Burnley are going down and James McCarthy from Wigan.

Ketsbaia
some free agents this summer: kris boyd, paul scharner, jermaine beckford, daniel van buyten, francois clerc, sidney govou (and albin too)
Stifler
Dorrans would be a good one to look at but I don't think WBA will sell to us and bigger teams will come in for him.
Guest
I'd try for Djibril Cisse though I've no idea if that's realistic or not.
zolton
Dorrans would be a good one to look at but I don't think WBA will sell to us and bigger teams will come in for him. Right on both counts, unfortunately, anyway why would you want him, you have the Championships top player in Nolan!
colinmk
Probably a controversial one but I'd go for Alan Hutton too.

Kaizero
Seeing how our scouting network seems to be back on track with Graham Carr running the show, I'd like us to get in some cheap young talents from mainland Europe and beyond.
Guest Heneage
Doyle and Karl Henry have looked very good on the few occassions I've watched them. I also like N'zonzi, and think he'd give our midfield a bit of athleticism.
ElDiablo
Dorrans would be a good one to look at but I don't think WBA will sell to us and bigger teams will come in for him. No chance. More realistic would be Cleverley, either on loan from Man Utd if they decide to offer him a new contract or on a free.
Kaizero
I'd take Robbie Rogers to bring in some competition to the wing. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8a/Robbie-rogers.jpg
